Love these videos! It's nice getting to see just who all is on the homestead. And you can hear the pride in your voice with every project you've finished or accomplishment the animals have done. Thanks for the update Cody!
I got recommended your videos just about a month ago now and subscribed immediately! As a gal born and raised in the suburbs of coastal New Jersey, your videos are just amazing to watch. Your work ethic is killer! ✨
I really enjoy these full length tours! You have alot of broody hens!! 😂 Wouldn't it be fun if they all hatched a bunch like Pants?! 😂 Your flock would grow like an explosion!! I loved this video! Thanks!! 💕
Lol Doughboy might need a special bed lol ❤he's definitely got his own little personality ❤ Thanks for sharing your homestead Cody, always appreciate everything you are doing here❤
Edit: Thank you for confirming that the twins won't be joining the meat flock! Still praying that someone would adopt them together Pants and the babies looking great! The chicks are thriving❤ Also, that gate cookie is trying to cut open, you might want to check that gate before it cause you more problems Awww Echo guarding the little goose❤❤❤😊
When I had 150 laying Hens I had names for everyone but after being hit by a Fox invasion I had one survivor named Princess. I was able to get Princess some companions, I just called them Princess and the Peas. I just adopted a Rooster named Bell Bottom from Humane Society. Raising 11 new Hens and the grandkids want names for them. Does everyone name their farm animals or just crazy homesteaders??😂😂😂😂
I would love to take your 2 boys. Only problem is I'm in Maine, and 2 of my coops need to be better predator proofed. Also plan is a bachelor coop. You have great setups and have inspired me on some different ideas. Always enjoy your videos. When I used to let my hens hatch eggs, I did an experiment, twiced, hatching girls. Think it was an old wise tail but if the egg has a point it's a boy, and if round it's a girl. I'd have one pointy with the rest round and it was pretty much on spot. Of course I had 2 great hen mommas to do all the hatching.
They would have it messed in less than a week, keeping them on fresh ground is a must, so it's most beneficial to move them 3 times a day in a smaller space than trying to keep clean a little bit bigger space.
I went back to an old video when you checked the twins wings and you kinda thought they were boys at the time. I guess you could check the wings of the chicks, but I know you probably don’t want to find out if your favourite is a boy yet 😄
I remember when you 1st put the ducklings in with the other's, i can't remember who it was but I remember seeing the lil blk duck get mowed over by the bigger ones.
Too bad i am not able to move to my home -have to update since no one has lived in it for over 20 years, love to have chickens and moving out of city and into country
Are you raising the goats for meat? We always ate out male chickens. Never named them, and we all knew what they were for. Also, when those pigs nip you, correct them. My dad would carry a fly swatter in with him when he went in with the pigs. They would keep their distance.
@@cherishthirdeyeJust so you know Cory told me in a comment when I asked once, the homestead gets a bigger % of the gift $$ if you use pay pal than if you use UA-cam special thanks.
I really hope the blonde tuckling is a girl. She’s has turned into quite a beauty. I wish the videos were closer to real time. It’s like we are having all these emotions over something that has already happened and it kinda freaks me out! 😮😮😮
I swear his voice got lower in some of the voiceovers. Now I know he was just recording those sections in the morning because his voice changes over the day
Always love to see everyone in one video. I'm really curious what that chick that looks like a starling is going to turn into. Unfortunately it doesn't look like you got any Cochin chicks. 🥺 Little gander is getting so big! He's so talkative and getting braver. 🤍 Of course someone pooped in the water bowl already. 😂
I’m a 35 year old engineer from England and I’m asking myself why am I so invested in your animals 😂😂
Because it makes us smile 😊
Because I myself like the farm life. 😂❤
I’m asking myself the same question!😂😂😂
With the cost of land being what it is here, I think a lot of us are living our homestead dreams out through Cody 😂
I like that all black little duckling.
U must get up really early every day. It's a lot of wk to go feed all the sweet animals.❤ God bless u hun.
THAT'S right, GIRLS ARE MORE IMPORTANT ❤😂
Only if they don't go psychotic.
I agree Pants babies are cute. Need some that looks like Pants, how cute would that be.😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
I hope it's love at first sight when Mumbels meets Mr. Mumbels ❤.

I really enjoy these long form videos...just a day in the life.
I think you need to balance the broilers feeder
Yes, it wasn't cut straight so it's hard to balance. Alternatives are being considered.
I would love to be there! Love your farm and all you do.
Thank you!
Thank you for the tour 😀
My pleasure
Pam was frustrated at Jim for giving her ducklings.
I really do hope someone buys Big Feather & Long Feather for breeding purposes, they are both handsome boys. 🤞🤞
I feel sorry for Burt and his girls. They used to free-range but are now confined to a large coop.
Great video
Free the Whitt Acres 3!!! #ThreeLittlePiggies
It's a process ❤
He's working on it❤
Love the updates. Will there be any problems with chickens getting into the outside pigpen?
Good question
@@WhittAcresHomestead I wonder if it would be practical to lay some chicken wire across the top of the pig pen?
❤
Where’s my main man, Rufio. Loven that Rufio
You should put the broilers in that big pen where the big boys are
They would have it messed in less than a week, keeping them on fresh ground is a must, so it's most beneficial to move them 3 times a day in a smaller space than trying to keep clean a little bit bigger space.
It look like the meat chickens feeder was at a downward angle and tipping over.or em i crazy.Rosie
I went back to an old video when you checked the twins wings and you kinda thought they were boys at the time. I guess you could check the wings of the chicks, but I know you probably don’t want to find out if your favourite is a boy yet 😄
That's true!
I remember when you 1st put the ducklings in with the other's, i can't remember who it was but I remember seeing the lil blk duck get mowed over by the bigger ones.
Such irony that the pigs are trying to eat Cody.
Love watching... How come the ducks dont fly away ?. Is it because they are so well looked after
Most domestic duck breeds don't fly
Is that the first time that I've seen Doughboy at the gate?
Красавчик
Freezer camp 😆
Too bad i am not able to move to my home -have to update since no one has lived in it for over 20 years, love to have chickens and moving out of city and into country
Mean turkeys.
That's why I don't like pigs. They will eat everything! Also, I am allergic to pork.
Are you raising the goats for meat? We always ate out male chickens. Never named them, and we all knew what they were for. Also, when those pigs nip you, correct them. My dad would carry a fly swatter in with him when he went in with the pigs. They would keep their distance.
Yes the goats are raised for meat.
You may want to make doughboy a bed
✌️🙏👍
Poor chicks😢
I like and. Want to meet u and.animals
is your double duty "dote" ok? it didnt look like she moved or was breathing in the short section of video. i hope shes ok
She's good. just broody
Can I make a donation to the homestead? If so, HOW?
If you look under the video description he has a support the channel section he has his PayPal linked there. 👍🏻
That's very generous! The PayPal is the most direct way. Thank you!
@@cherishthirdeyeJust so you know Cory told me in a comment when I asked once, the homestead gets a bigger % of the gift $$ if you use pay pal than if you use UA-cam special thanks.
If you name them you can't cull them. :P
I disagree
What's "freezer camp"? Sounds ominous.
It's where his animals go for their final use/purpose on the homestead.
It's not something I came up with, but I do like it better than butcher shop.
I really hope the blonde tuckling is a girl. She’s has turned into quite a beauty. I wish the videos were closer to real time. It’s like we are having all these emotions over something that has already happened and it kinda freaks me out! 😮😮😮
Do you raise your ducks for meat like your broilers?
I never knew pigs eat meat.
I swear his voice got lower in some of the voiceovers. Now I know he was just recording those sections in the morning because his voice changes over the day
Are they Boer goats
Yes
I hate hearing meat wagon
pigpen???
1. A place pigs are penned.
2. Charlie Brown's friend.
@@WhittAcresHomestead Thanks for including number 2 😉

There might be some feather on the legs but no cochin
I guess Pants remains to be the only special bucket of feathers. 🩶
Why do you name your pigs that your going to eat ?
To be able to talk about them and remember them. Why not?
Hey buddy is there any way you can name one of your chickens or ducks … Patrice?? Pleeeeease
