It's a HoMi - a very versatile Korean gardening / hand tool which makes light work of weeding, cultivating, sowing, digging etc.
It seems perfectly adaptable for both raised / low bed gardening and for vegetable and flower cultivation alike.
Feel free to use the above link if you would like to buy one and would like to help support the channel. If you do I'd very much like to hear about your impressions - as it certainly works for me!

I am a Korean farmer. Homi are great for digging with small stones and for harvesting crops such as sweet potatoes(goguma) and potatoes.

Thanks for your comment! It's a brilliant tool - so versatile! I don't think that there are many jobs it can't be used for! Thanks again, Andy!

When harvesting potatoes or other root vegetables, I don't use homi that way here in Korea. If you do throwing motion, root vegetable can be broken and your arm will get tired quickly. Instead I hold the handle with one hand and hold the head part of homi with the other hand, and slowly dig the ground. It's more easy.
I use homi with one hand when weeding.
And I use small seat cusion to protect my spines and knees. It's important for health.

Thank you for your comment! Yes, I find a kneeler / mat pretty much indispensable for digging weeding up close, so yes that is a great tip!
I've not used the HoMi for bigger root vegetable harvests and your tip is such a good idea about using it in both hands for extra power to dig deeper, yet with more control to keep from harming the tubers!
It's such a versatile tool. Thanks again, I hope to do some more videos featuring the HoMi soon!. Andy

Homi can replace at least four tools. You're using all the features. Very nice!

This is very interesting to see as a Korean, never knew the Homi would be used in other countries. I'm glad you found it helpful for your gardening

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching the video. It's a great tool - really versatile. I enjoy looking and reviewing different tools - always good to see how to get a good outcome with a different method / tool. Cheers, Andy

I use mine for mining too. Perfect for fine picking of materials, moving material, and even as a 'tripod' when you bend over. I also use it to hold myself on a slope. Not recommend, but you can use it as a hammer too. I buy mine at Korean grocery stores for right around $6 (USD). I usually have about 5-10 around the house and sometimes take spares as gifts at rock club digs.

Very cool! Mining! I wouldn't have expected that, but it makes total sense! I wish we had a source of them in shops here, but I'm happy with the one I've got, as the gardening is probably less hard on them than mining! Cheers, Andy!

What an interesting tool. Definitely a 'must have.' I am in the United States and Amazon is a tad different when I click on your link. It is asking me about Cookies. I shall investigate further tomorrow.

Thanks for checking it out! Hopefully you can find it via other means if it's not working.
It's basically become my go to tool for most gardening tasks now. I'm particularly fond of it for making drills for seeds and transplanting.

Not true. There are cheapo Chinese factory-stamped homis that break in 2 minutes and then there are these Made in Korea forged ones that are $10 but last years.

I bought one from Amazon. Made in Korea and was around 15 dollars. For me it was worth the price considering how much I use it. it's replaced about 3 tools. I'm also just glad it's not made in China by some poor kid getting paid 3 cents a day.
