I am looking for a waterproof camera (without a case) to take on long ultra-marathon hikes through Florida. I don't see me going deep into the water to take pictures. I want stills and video, quick shots on the fly of myself, scenery and wildlife. This past weekend, I missed some wildlife shots, because my phone was too slow to get to. It must be rainproof. Are there any accessories like a headband or armband that work with the camera I have a inflatable surf board thing and well paddling I can't hold the camera and my board dosent have a camera mount so it would have to be on my rist or head

I just bought the camera. The one thing I'm not happy with is it doesn't seem compatible with an iPad to transfer the files to with the cable it comes with and according to the manual. Only Windows and Mac computers. Nobody brings their PC on a trip. Most would want to upload their pics to social media right away not when they get home. Will a Lightning to USB-C cable work for this?
A camera good to 10 feet underwater may no be the best choice for snorkeling. If you drop it, or if it really is only good to 5 feet in constant underwater use...you may lose ALL your shots even if you successfully retrieve the camera.
Since this review do you have any updates on how to get the best out of the camera. Do you have to tinker with setting or change much. I have ordered a blue one online so hopefully it does the job ok. The pics don't look to bad. Any suggestions appreciated thx.

@@johnjames4981 there's much better options out there, but they come at a much higher price. As long as you know what to expect, you'll be pleased with it.

I just got one of these but only came with one battery. It also said to format the disk for first use. Showing a disk error when powered up. I had a larger capacity disk lying around new. I guess it's too much storage for the camera. So how do you format the disk and should I purchase the smaller 32 GB disk instead of the 128 GB I have installed? Oh, does the charging light turn green when fully charged or does it stay red? And can I order another battery?
Nice color, mostly I normally I see silver, black on cameras. I been looking around for a another camera due to the bit that my older camera is now on the fritz, I am so used at having a camera that takes double AA's and not sure what to think about the kind of batteries that needs to be charged. So perhaps you can give me your feedback which is better to have...a camera that is charged or one that takes double AA's or triple AAA's?
The underwater footage looks great! But the audio quality is not that great, it sounds as if the MIC is on the back of the camera because the audio changes when your using it in selfie mode.
I'm confused about the SD card. I bought this on Amazon they recommended the camera, SD and case so I bought what they recommended and the SD card is way too big to fit in the camera can you give me a part number for a SD card to fit this camera?

I'd recommend a dji osmo action or gopro. This camera still works, but quality is not there compared to newer cameras.

The focus knob is hard to turn, but you just twist it. Audio levels can be adjusted in your editing program.
Your video was very helpful. I see an upgraded one with 48 megapixels so this video made my decision easier to purchase.

Its very limited with what its capable of doing. It works as intended, but its good as a secondary/b roll footage cam.

I dont use this camera anymore, but you should be able to use an sd card reader or transfer using the usb cable. Hope that helps.

The light is only for flash for photos.

I would use the recommended sd card size. You can format in settings. Light turns green for mine from what I remember.

Rechargeable will save you money in the end. This has two batteries so you wouldnt need to ever buy batteries for it.

It doesnt turn on while charging. The red light goes out when fully charged.
Having the same problem. It won't charge. It says light will go out when fully charged. It hasn't and won't power on.

You need a micro sd card. Check to see if there is a small card inserted in the card you received.

I could also see this camera as a "disposable" ENG camera for TV stations-a thought.Be good for those news shots where the camera could be damaged.
