Ma'am content of the videos are very knowledgeable and very clear. I just finish my Bachelor's in HR and now I am planning to pursue MSW and these videos provide a great insight and basic knowledge for me to prepare for MSW. Thank you very much. Ma'am as the UGC has approved that we can pursue two degrees simultaneously that is one through regular and one through distance mode which other masters degree do you think can be an add on for MSW . ( Currently I am planning to take MSW(HR) through regular mode)
Hi, jeevan Hope you are staying safe? I prefer MA psychology, MBA or sociology. Because for practicing social work in the field, you need more Knowledge on society and individual. But since you mentioned HR as your specialization interest, as a MSW( HR) we need to compete with MBA, HR. MA psychology ( OB&OD) and MA, human resource management students. so MBA can add more value. so it is your choice and interest which one you need to select. And one more suggestions instead of doing double PG try to do diploma and certificate courses in different specialization of Msw. it will help you more. You can do pgdm instead of MBA. and many certificate courses and diploma courses are for counselling, criminology, social development etc. . But it is up to your choice. some of the courses i will mention here, Diploma: 1. Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education 2.Diploma in Women’s Empowerment and Development PG Diploma: 1.Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work Counselling PG and advance diploma: 1. Post Graduate Diploma in Urban Planning and Development 2. Post Graduate Diploma in Criminal Justice 3. Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies Certificate: 1.Certificate in Business Skills 2. Certificate in Disaster Management
@@jeevanj510 Hello I am kinda of stuck in a very similar situation like you mentioned in the comment last year! Can you please share what are you up to? And what did you finally select?
@@mitulikabhadani1695 Hey I am currently doing my MSW from Srinivas university. Here we have dual specialization that is HR and Medical and psychiatry so I'll get to know about both things. And professors are very good and it's very important to have a good faculty. They can really make things easy for us. Other than this if you are planning for research go for MA in sociology from IGNOU they'll give you the admission but currently doing two masters simultaneously is not valid yet. We can only show one degree in our resume. But you can still do it because within the next two years it will get valid as board as approved doing two degrees simultaneously it will take time to become a act. If you don't want to take that risk you can go for PG diploma : If you are into HR go for : Pg diploma in CSR as the CSR field has a huge scope in the future. Also you can go for : PG diploma in Counseling as it will widen your knowledge and field You can also go for : PG diploma in criminology if you are interested in correctional settings. and remember one thing degree is of no use if we don't develop our knowledge and skills. So focus on that it's very important for social workers and especially who are getting into research. Attend as many webinars as possible. You can find webinars in facebook events, LinkedIn, Event tribe app or website. Most of them are free. I make sure I attend at least one webinar a day because it will of just 1hour or 1 1/2 hour and I just have to listen and that's the easiest thing to do . Other than scrolling through social media for 6 a hours a day I just scroll 4 hours a day now thats all. 😂 Don't stress too much. Organise things and life will start getting productive automatically. Organising will be tough in the beginning but it's OK just be consistent. Consistency is the key. www.linkedin.com/in/jeevan09 My LinkedIn profile get connected.
