I really appreciate this Survival show. 1. They didn't force the girls to change their looks. No pressure, in fact they welcome individuality. 2. Not force skirts on anyone who didn't want to wear it. 3. Diet was optional, you manage your own weight. 4. I feel they were more caring in terms of mental health. 5. Talent is focus and trainee personality and hard work was highlighted. Mentors dynamic was great and they really care for trainees so they push them. Congratulations on this show iQiyi! I know it was hard producing this with the pandemic and all but this is a great show many enjoying during their isolations. Trainees are amazing as well, good luck to their future.
Did u watch idol producer 1 where cai xukun was center? It's really good and no evil editing and stuff. Everyone's funny too. And yes, some of them got fat from eating lolol

I love how this show doesn’t discriminate against women that don’t look follow the stereotype of what a “girl should be like” like. WE STAN ALL OUR QUEENS. Edit: As well, I’m so happy that the girls are given equal chances no matter their hairstyle, style preference and appearance in general. I’m so happy that our talented “different” (aka not the expectation of a girl group look) ladies such as XinLiu, K Lu, Frhanm Shanguan, Yu Zhang, NineOne etc. made it after round 2 elimination. These queens are killing their performances and bring so much to the table. They are free to express their individuality which is another reason why I love the show. I’m so happy that they were accepted so warmly by the fans and the show. (Of course there are some fans that dislike them, but you can’t please everyone)

Why people hating on the center? Just bcs she's not as feminine and girly compared to others but i'm glad she was picked as the center. People need to realise in this industry, we should appreciate any kind of styles that woman can potray. She's cool, she got the style, she got the visual and she's talented. Korean girl survival shows tend to be slightly more targeted toward the male audience while the Chinese versions seem to be more for girls
yes in China girls spend more money for their idols, males love sporting and games

Produce 101 China. She, SUNNEE, is that blonde short haired girl. She is half Taiwanese and half Thai. She did debut in that show’s temporary group called Rocket Girls 101.
For me, who has watched a lot of Korean survival shows, this show is a great show. It showcases diversity in personalities and also appearances. It's difference in sense that it allows and accepts all types of girls. Like Kun and Lisa said, not all girls are the same and it's more about who they are. I love it, I love the message that the show and mentors gives to the trainees.
I'm really enjoying the show.
And I really like how there isn't like evil editing and I'm surprised at how the girls do as well on stage and in voting. There's a lot of twists and I like that it doesn't seem like looks is important as the korean versions. Like they really do look at talent and how well they perform on stage.
P.S. What Kun and the show allowed in ep 8, I cried. Like Korea would never have let class F do that.

Tea. I didn't watch the full episodes of the Chinese version but I watched a lot of clips and I can think they're even doing better than the korean versions.
In the Korean versions, they might let many girls be themselves but unless they're feminine, they won't let them have the center. And most of the time, they actually define girlgroups.

yea ikr.. among the survival shows for the group of girls I've seen all this time, this survival show is the only one that doesn't use a pink uniform. I really like it. Although Chuang2020 uses white uniforms instead of pink, but I prefer the uniform from Youth with You. :D

It’s cool that let the girls choose if they want to wear shorts or a skirt. They’re not forced into this girly concept that they have to display. It reminds me of f(x) when amber can always wore shorts compare to the other members.

i don't know why but I've already watched survival shows like pd101, idol producer, etc. but I feel like this is the first time I'm gonna cry if someone gets eliminated. I mean look at this girls! different looks, different talents, and different personalities that made me so into them all! I just wanna see them like that on stage. but it's a competition so.....
and i personally think that these girls are graded fairly, it doesn't matter with the looks, the visuals, they really focus on what the girl is capable of, and how great she is.

thats the charm of idol producer/youth with you series. Season 1 of Idol producer with Cai Xukun was amazing..easily one of my favs because all the trainees were unique, lovable and absolutely hilarious. Season 2 was a bit dull and I couldn't get through it but it seems that Iqiyi learned from their mistakes and are following a similar formula to season 1 with the new girl's season which is great
visuals are just the bonus point. but these girls are talented enough to be called charismatic and powerful, and unique.
Actually she deserved to be a center. She makes the dance so easy. She is one of the most stable and has visual as well. Honestly, i only watched the show bec of Lisa but the longer I watched it, I've got to know the girls and how they want to improved their skills. I like how diverse this show is. It's breaking stereotypes on how a girl group should be. Goodluck to all participants!

After watching Lisa's performance, this dance is NOT that easy. Look at how hard most of these girls are breathing. A lot of stamina is needed PLUS the details in the hand movements. Amy Ding Still don’t think she should’ve been center. Based on what Lisa said about the center, she just doesn’t fit the role. She doesn’t embody the song or the essence of all the girls. Frhanm was much better suited for the role, she is different from what a normal girl group member looks like, while still being able to bring the cutesy vibe the song has.

Lisa also said she don't have any problem if she get A. Other judges also gave her A. you have watched the show that means you also known the reason why other girls voted her to be the center. For me xin liu is center because she showed her own style, can be cute and can attract other with her performance.
It's great seeing so many diverse, potential idols take the stage and really show their talent. The one idol wearing glasses especially caught my attention!
The center was questioned on why she didn’t wear a skirt and she said it was because she wanted to show that you don’t have to wear feminine clothes to be beautiful and that everyone has their on style. I feel like she should def be one of the members chosen.

This is much better than korean survival shows, the girls are very funny, no evil editing, they support each other, I love the mentors and especially the girls are very talented and had their own charm. She went to Beijing to have more opportunity. She is one of the best female popping dancer in Asia now and popping master Lin meng is her teacher. It is very brave for her to choose popping, as u all know popping is a type of dance that needs supper strong energy and muscles to control ur body, so its usually harder for girls than boys to learn popping. But Xin Liu wants people to know how strong and powerful girls could also be.
2012, Xin Liu participated in a competition called "Go Up! Junior" （向上吧！少年）and won the Most Upward Junior Award, famous idol like Kiku, or Karry Wang and Jackson Yee from the TFboys, and even one of the coach from “Youth with You”, Kun also attend this competition show, but Xin is the winner of that show, her dancing skills impressed everyone.
