I love how slavic people don't care about all of these stereotypes thrown about them. More, they even feel proud of them and make jokes about that themselves. I love that, that's the attitude we need in this overly sensitive times!
True, most of us treat these stereotypes either neutrally, condescendingly, or with humor and irony. We even have a term for these stereotypes - "Клюква" (Klyukva - Cranberry). You can even read more about this (if you wish) on the Wikipedia article, only it is in Russian, but I hope the translator will help you.

Hi I'm Russian and.. this is kinda true?.. it's very annoying when you speak English with a Russian accent because you just cant help it and you can't really get rid of it unless you really try but uh it's very very annoying when you're at an American restaurant and you ask for water and then they say "DonT yOu MeAn VoDkA?" ..and then you say "No uh .. um.. I actually don't drink alcohol.." then they just start laughing and walk away .it's offensive very offensive imp don't argue with me now please..😀

I am an American English speaker, and currently learning both Japanese and Russian. i dunno what frightens me more, the way that Russian words look, or Japanese Kanji lmao. I am going to be learning both simultaneously every couple videos. I just started learning Russian the other day ( 11/13/22 ) and I find it challenging. Japanese tho, I can already speak a few sentences and whatnot. I have been learning that for like 4 months or so (kinda lost track as i stopped due to irl lol ) but looking at getting back into it.

@@cmonreally5577, no, Japanese R is just like Russian R, so you only need to learn how to say L. And in English they still have L, but also their weird English R which sounds like you're choking on pasta with beans

@@michaelschneider8201 Russian R is like rrr, your tongue has to vibrate (took me 2 weeks to learn) , while Japanese r is just L, and also, I misspelled “Russian” as “Russia” doesn’t mean I’m Japanese😂😂 (I’m actually learning it though)
@@cmonreally5577, I've always thought that Japanese vibrate it too... now that I've looked closer, it looks like they make an attempt at vibrating but then hit their tongue only 1 or 2 times. That's why their R sounds kinda like L. So yes, I was wrong.
To cheer you up: I myself struggled with Russian R when I was 6. And (almost?) all Russian kids can't say it until they are 3 or 4 yo :)))

German is very easy for Russians. Lots of them know it. Almost as popular as English. Plus they share almost the same accent. So Russians speaking German sound pretty natural.
