Yessir we need more videos on how to make a portfolio and case studies 😀
Thank you soo much Abhinav 🙏
WOWWWWW!!!!!! That was so precisely explained, thanks a ton :)
I was having the same doubt ! Great work
Thank you for this 🙏
Thank you so much ..i was struggling with this same misconception since a very long .. that is really helpful.
Thanks a lot man, this is the only vid any young aspiring designer would need.
Thanks for your guidance sir
yes need more info about case studies and portfolio means want to know how we present it.
Thanks . Now I can relate to my M.Tech cad cam degree to ui ux . I do have a design degree PG but it's in Mechanical engineering design .
Thank you for this video. Coming from a completely unrelated field (Hotel management lol), i realised I LOVED the whole process of UI/UX incorporating both architecture, design and psychology, I got into learning and practicing UI/UX design on Figma, reading books, watching yours and other videos and so on, but in between got into a demotivational spiral about how I might be at a disadvantage or might not be taken seriously when I apply. This gives me hope that I might still have an opportunity at something that I enjoy learning about and working on.
Nice I am switching from graphic to Ui/UX can you recommend me any books and online resources for the starting the journey

I'd suggest you watch ABNUX and Punit Chawla. Both make amazing content. Try reading books like Universal principles of design, design for hackers, Android developer design guide, iOS human interface design guidelines, Don't make me think twice, the design of everyday things. Mainly go through case studies in the new website launched by ABNUX today. Case studies and practicing IRL teaches you more than books and videos.
are you taking any cources? and pls update on your current status on this journey to career shift.
@@karnasingh860 hey
I also want to become UI IX Designer in future
Can you tell me is there a good scope for this in future in India?
ABNUX and 10k discord was one of the best thing happened to me (and many others) in 2020.
Bro, will the cohort program of 10k designers help me to land a job?
Since the cost of the program is 75k which is costly for most people.
Awesome!!
Thanks man✨

Thankyou Abhinab sir for the video. It helped boosting confidence of a fresher like me.
can you make a video giving a brief idea regarding the salary aspect of UI/UX designer....and compared to other fields such as a developer, analyst,SDE what is situation right now .This could really help people in their transition journey from some other field to this amazing field of UI/UX
Thanks 😊so much for this video Sir
While I feel that one can learn through self learning, design school help a bit in some other aspects too. When in a design school, you get to learn WHILE networking with people in college itself and design institutes like NID do have a good relationship with certain companies when it comes to the placements. The whole networking and placement aspect of it does help a bit. What's your opinion on this ?
Though I completely agree that your portfolio and work matters irrespective of all this.
I wish design colleges had a good relationship with startups. Wouldn’t have had to start 10designers if they did 🙂
Problem is they have connections with companies that do “campus hiring” which is about 2% of companies out there. Most companies don’t have that kind of time and just use the internet to hire.
Sir, can you please please make a video..likw of how you started you Carrer like from the very beginning..after 12th onwards... Please this would surely help many students including me.. Please
Hi Abhinav, what are your opinions about people who are already working and not a fresher and would like to shift to the design field. I’m one such so I would like to know what you think about it. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the video
Could you make a video on free/reasonable courses available for UI/UX design (and I mean a full packaged not having just 1-2 topics because it is really difficult for fresher to find different courses for each topic) for people who cannot afford 10k designers.
The best course is one that inspires you to take action. Try out multiple till that happens, very likely that it’ll be a mix not just one 🙂
Currently i am pursuing btech from Computer Branch. I want to become ui ux designer, so can you please suggest which course for master degree I can go with?

Even after making portfolio, case studies, companies or startups give TESTS and never reply and that time went into it get wasted.
Test is mandotary brother. Even though you make portfolio or not. Companies will just not hire one by viewing just the projects you've done. They'll test you & if they feel you're capable, they'll hire.
Happens man! Keep in mind that every interview process is two way: you’re also evaluating whether the company is worth working for. That way, it makes sense to have as many interviews as possible till you find a good fit
You only have to do this once every couple of years, might as well do it right 🙂
@@abnux Pleaseeeeee be my Mentor 🥺 I really want to grow in ux/ui designer
I dont know coding can i do ui/ux design
Can a B.com graduate student pursue this UX/UI design career?
I think you were engineer before designer if I am not wrong because I was also watching your early UA-cam videos
I don't even have a laptop, I'm saving up for it. Do you think it'll be possible to become a self taught designer 2-3 years from now ?
Hey Abhinav Bhaiya I am your biggest fan I have a query how you generate screenshots of apps for uisources please reply Bhaiya
I have diploma in EEE can I do ui ux design course
Hello sir! I really wanted to ask you that if someone who is from engineering background is given more preference than any other person from different field / non designing background? Hope you answer!
usually not! as long as you understand the medium you’re designing for well (tech - so apps, websites, smartphones, internet etc and how they work) AND have a good portfolio, you’ll have the same chances
to give a real example, from 10kdesigners we’ve ppl from backgrounds like architecture, finance, fitness, engg, even some folks who skipped college
I'm a commerce student. But I want to become a ui/ux designer. Is this possible a commerce student become a ui ux designer. Please Help me 🙏🏻 I'm confused.
i have the same question. pls tell me if u got any leads from somewhere else.
@@rubibhowmick3768 I am also new to this ui /ux , but i found many tutorials and guidance! if you need help please reply back :) have a nice day
Hi Abhinav. i am an android application developer with 3 years experience. my feeling is, i am not good at this work. i don't have fu what i do. i know it is little late realization. i have my interest in drawing and designing. should i go for ui ux designing career?
Same dude I was Android developer from 2017 to 2020 then stop working for personal reasons I was doing freelancing here and there but I am not good at coding I have relized that . Should I change my career at age 27 and learn ux/ui designs?
Hello sir,
I am having a confusion whether i choose this UI UX field or not.
Do a person from commerce background and not having so good marks in his finals can enter in this field or not?
Yes, you can the field is open to all. You marks and background doesn''t matter. Your portfolio is above all.
Do u think a psychology degree will be given any special consideration while hiring 🤔 since ux does involve it to some extent.
if you’re able to actually demonstrate how it gives you an advantage in design, then definitely!
Sir ,I am 27 years old, I don't have a degree, i am interested in designing, I started to learn Ps Ai , I am following some youtubers, they are young and successful, I feel like I started too late , what I need to do come from negative thoughts sir.....
You don't need PS or AI to become a UI/UX designer. Start with the crash course playlist on my channel :)
I have just one question...a damn serious question..i have taken admission in MSC in IT...so should I complete it first or should I quit it and focus on ux ui design?.. because recently I have realised that programming is not my type... waiting for ur reply..please Sir🙏🙏
If your goal is to enter UX, then the MSc won’t help. Can use your free time to learn, build skills, do projects but will be slower than just putting full focus
Transition from bored engineer to uxui
Project
Freelance project
Fuck i had same problem😿
🙊🙉🙈😾😾😾
Another video about "UI/UX design", can you explain why do we have "/" between UI and UX? Who not "-" or ":" or "," ?
People at your position should atleast stop saying UI/UX designer, both are different atleast by now the standard procedure is both dob needs to be done by 2 different people/team.
You teach people and you are about design, you are about teaching, and you do this mistake. So disappointing. I doubt credibility of 10kdesigners now..
Here’s why:
Amazing UI with bad UX = bad product
Amazing UX with bad UI = bad product
While earlier it was common to see specialised UI and UX roles, the two most common roles now are “Product Designer” aka “UI/UX designer” and “UX researcher”.
If you want to do just UX or just UI, you’re going to have lesser opportunities. That’s the reality in 2021, no matter what textbooks might have you believe 🙂
@ABNUX 1st thing "/ " is not used for "and" it is used for "or" when we say "English/Hindi" that doesn't mean English as well as Hindi
2nd, you top part is correct either one of UX or UI is bad the product is bad... so one man decides to do it all... correct... so he can do both UX as well as amazing... this is what you mean? and do you really believe that 1 man who can do all is better compared to 1 UX design specialist and UI design specialist?
Basic requirement of a good UX designer is to understand the UX research and be able to convert the research and findings into the userflows and wireframes... Basic requirement of good UI designer is to understand the brand guidelines, as well as the basics of front end development (no need to be able to develop actually, but "UNDERSTANDING" is important) so that the designs he make are executable. This is what I have learnt. I have not read this in a book but from practical experience and from being part UX design community for years.
Yes, few companies don't understand this and want one guy to do that and guy who knows all can get job easily, but just for that reason you will teach people what isn't actually right?
I don't want to now write the role of product designer and add 2 more paragraphs to the comment. Hope, you read some books and understand that.
@@Abhizit thank you for saying this 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 finally some sensibility exists.
Man stop breathing so much in between video🥺 keep u r mic aways plzz
