- By day he's a mild mannered tech worker. By night he's a conductor of a miniature world where trains rule. These "iron horses" move almost magically from track to track, pumping out plumes of realistic smoke. I had the privilege of visiting this little wonderland in the heart of Atlanta and captured everything thing I could with the new Sony FX3 rig. Enjoy!

this is beautifully shot and editing is superb. Reminds me of those Tracks Ahead videos on model trains.
Great trains, super layout. I started with Brio Trains too and am now it is all Z-gauge.
As a hobbyist my self and its a great hobby, and there is no such thing as a finished layout I always say, but it’s expensive hobby, but it’s worth it!
Really neat, thanks for this!
This is very nice. I'm a switcher myself, at a club that is (don't have a layout of my own just yet). Looking at Lionel and other big names' prices keepin' jumping, I can only say that I have the same hope that the hobby can continue. It is quickly getting so much more costly; might even push me out one day the way things are going. Love the layout and love the collection too.
Thank you! I am only documenting my friend's hobby here, but I did have an HO layout as a kid. Lack of space and time (and probably also budget) pushed me out. But I really hope the hobby stays alive because of the joy it brings me in exploring other hobbyists' creations.
Great video , well done !!! Your helper does a great job also .
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Super stuff, great video!
It was really cool to see some positive coverage of the hobby from an (i assume) non hobbyist! This was really well shot and put together. I also envy a lot of the things he has... Hah! In regards to the future of it, i think it won't ever die as long as i can help it. As long as any amount of people run or appreciate model trains it will be alive. I've got more years ahead of me in this hobby than I could fathom. Oh, and does he have a UA-cam channel? Thanks!
That's reassuring to hear! I don't think Matt creates content for his collection, but I know he follows the community pretty closely.
