What a great day when your machine actually works right from the get go. Genie looks fantastic and seems to play pretty good too. Gordon Morrison did great art during his time … his art seems to pay respect to the mighty Roy Parker who set the bar for all pinball artists to rise to. really handsome game.
I have the 554 blinker bulbs behind the GENIE letters in the backglass in the machine I restored - It seems to be the correct placement from the research I've done.
The ball moves similarly as it does in Pinball Arcade. Here too it seems that the ball "floats". I'm glad to have Pinball Arcade where the physics is very well adjusted (not perfect, but very acceptable). I saw videos where it is played with Funhouse, and I have to say that the hardware is closer to Pinball Arcade than to Pinball FX where the ball is unmanageable. Some people like it because it looks realistic, but the real thing doesn't move like that.
Great table! Excited to see more!
I will do a proper gameplay video at some point!
