We are grateful he chose us and chose to spend the last nine years of his life living here. We understand your jealousy but we hope you will recover from it soon. It's not a healthy trait.

@mattm1653I’d have to say though, I’ve seen just as much to be upset about by some of the SA fans. It’s not reflective of either fan base. Most of us know this is a massive battle and could go either way, and there is a deep mutual respect there. Just a shame some fans ruin it on both sides
@mattm1653you have got to be kidding...the arrogance and disrespectful comments from Saffas during this WC and in the build up has been incredible. As an Irishman I was fully behind SA beating England in the final 4 years ago but I have lost a lot of respect for Saffas this year.

Good attitude guys! There is always a small minority of fans who will take the banter too far, but we see this in every nation's supporters. They shout louder than the rest so they distort the majority voice - which is a voice of mutual respect and friendship. Much respect sending from Ireland to South Africa! 👍☘😊

Hmm, only South Africa actually has all its players being real home grown, ie., South African born and breed. All other teams seem to rely on imports. Ireland by the way is the second team I support, love Ireland and its people. Visit frequently and support Munster.
Argentina has all its players home grown also.
The vast majority of Ireland's players are Irish by birth or are foreign born to Irish parents and are raised in Ireland. A few have an Irish mother or grandparent. Only three - all Kiwi's I think - have no connection to Ireland.

Bundi chose to play his rugby in Ireland, became an Irish citizen after 5 years and then qualified, as an Irish citizen, to represent his adopted country at international level. He has now been living in Ireland for nine years and we are delighted to have him. All nations must adhere to the same set of rules and regulations. I hope this helps you to further understand how international rugby works.
