Why do people keep asking about his voice. He was in his twenties in those early videos. He's almost 50 now. Of course he doesn't sound the same, his voice used to be a bit deeper overall when it came to his singing. Who cares though, he still sounds amazing, and this is a very hard song to sing.
+Cosmo Costanza He sings with ridiculous vowels, that is my only issue with Ed post 2005. He just started singing really goofy vowels. I can understand not being able to scream like he used to, the guy is 50 but I just don't understand why he sings like he does now with the vowels.
@@ConnorMcCartney95 funny because after the bridge the leadup to the next chorus he screams perfectly. I think he can still do it but choses not to, same with his weird exaggerated wide vowels.
Look. I love Chris Cornell. He's my favourite vocalist of all time. But listen to him try to perform his early stuff in the later years. He can't do it justice. Because it was so crazily hifh and intense. You can't expect a man to keep that kind of vocal performance 20 years later. Eddie, on the other hand, nailed this like he recorded it yesterday. Frankly, I've not seen the comments that are questioning his vocal talents that so many seem to be replying to. But I do not see what the problem is. The guy never over extended himself. He's just as good today as he eas then. He's the hero we need, that none of us deserve.
"Deep ' is another subliminal message with a surfing metaphor. The bridge and guitar riffs are out of this world and Eddie still sings it with incredible passion. The song is designed for Pearl Jam guitarists so take a good look at Mike McCready if you want to learn about guitar riffs and sheer excellence. He can play songs blindfolded! Jeff Ament is like a symphony conductor and you will never ever get to see a bassist play better than this.Stone, Mike and Jeff rock stars for life. Eddie is the best frontman and Matt Cameron the slick powerhouse drummer who does not get enough credit.
This is my favorite song on Ten and one of my favorite Pearl Jam songs period. Great performance, didn't expect it to be so good given how recent it was, they can still rock!
Good Lord. Love my Eddie. Still as intense as he was when I first saw him 1991 and at Lollapalooza '92. Still performs as if it's the first time!! Feels like the first time .. just as orgasmic!! YAY!!!!
Honestly this is amazing, I just watched another newer recording of Deep which I didn’t like as much, (the vocals were iffy in some places and Stone was playing a strat so the main riff wasn’t as deep and muddy as it was supposed to be) but this version is just as good as the old ones. Different of course, but it still makes me smile like a lunatic which is my measure of if something is really good.
OMFG this video made me cry His voice sooooo intense juz like the first time i seen a concert of them... I luv ur Music Pj and never I will let u apart of my life... Keep rockin' guys (y)
Eddie is older, God bless him, but he is still nailing this song just as good as the drop in the park video. I consider that god given talent AND great genetics that I hope will keep him singing flawlessly for twenty more years. I am not worried about the other eight legs in the group because I have never heard them play a bad note, so tight that if they did you wouldn't know anyway:-) PJ ROCKS Oklahoma city Nov. 16 Let me sleep, its an EARLY Christmas time ;)
It’s not that his voice has gotten bad. He for one is not as angry as before and has matured, especially with Ten that was an angry album. I am glad to see at the end he really brought Deep to life, I need to see that with Porch as well. Sadly I just wish I was in my 20s in the early 90s to see this band in youth
Oh yeah, I forgot, he doesn't flail around as much anymore either. Still very intense though. Reminds me of Joe Cocker sometimes, no matter if he is 21 or 41.
No one request Deep anymore, it’s a classic especially in this era.
BEST EVER FOR ME

he stil thinks like a teen spirit!

It's the way he's choosing to sing not that he sounds very different

@@ConnorMcCartney95 i think so too.

At 2:50 we got a little taste of 92’ Vedder. Love this performance!
He can definitely scream if he still wanted to
I think he still sounds amazing! This might be one of the hardest to sing, but he's so into it
He's so *deep* into it, am I right? 😅
GODDAMIT, JOSH, THE LIGHTS ARE STILL ON!
😂
I wonder if he still yells at Josh 😂
This is absolutely one of their best songs and to have a SBR of it amazing

Jesus, he still got it wow
OMFG this was legit! Major props to the guys, especially Ed!
Performance was on fucking point
Long Live PJ
Eddie Vedder greatest voice out there
Dont let anyone dare tell you that Pearl Jam dont have fire in their belly!
Eddie became a beast for a sec at 2:41
became Lemmy
His voice has changes through the years like everyones does. Only HIS has actually gotten better.
Nope, it's clearly gotten worse. He sounds whiny as fuck now. I wouldn't pay to see Eddie fuck up the vocals of my favorite songs.

So good omg
you have to watch this video and then listen, he is in the song, he is the song himself...
Fucking amazing
Awesome performance, and If I may say, Eddie looks overwhelmingly hot
They don't play this live enough
nah, he explains it in a video on here. He was walking through Seattle and saw a junkie shooting up on a windowsill.
😍
0:50 voice came back
voice came back, yes but came back in a much better sound and mature, I love it, I am same age as him.. this is the sound I love now..
Damn surreal is PJ
the band was so tight and so amazing on that performance.... and dare I say? what about fucking Mike McCready Jesus Christ....
McCready fucking killed it in this performance. Most underrated guitarist of the 90’s
