Hey, what's up, everyone? It's MC Breeze here, and I've been in the rap game since 1986. I'm not just an artist; I'm also the proud owner of my own record company. Over the years, I've dropped numerous independent releases, and you can catch my latest tracks streaming on all major music platforms.
The journey began back in 1985 when I decided to invest my hard-earned money from slinging pizzas at Domino's to start my own record company. Fast forward to 1990, and I inked a deal with Capitol Records. I had the incredible opportunity to perform, write, and co-produce three tracks for the "Rocky V" album, accompanying Sylvester Stallone's iconic movie. The tour that followed took me to over 30 cities across 14 countries in Europe and Japan.
Now, here's an interesting tidbit - Capitol Records had another artist named Breeze, and, despite having the name first, we didn't have the luxury of time for legal battles. With a tight window to record and release the three songs for the "Rocky V" Album, we opted for a quick name change. Hence, I became Joey B Ellis.
