I have watched more hours of Johnny Depp in the past 3 weeks than I have collectively across the decades of his career. He’s no longer in his handsome youth or trying to be entertaining and unusual like Edward Scissorhands. Yet I am more impressed with him today than I ever was. Sad that he went through a violent relationship but I wish him the best and hope to see him with a good companion for the remainder of his years.

Maybe its a tactic to convince the jury, because if u listen to that long enough you almost get the impression that they are getting positive answers not negative ones, it seems like the witness is answering in the affirmative in other words by the way the lawyer continues on as if he got the answer he wanted

I would also add that they don’t tend to use this tac tic often because if a witness closes the door on their first question there not able to continue following down that route and they have to move on. That’s when JD’s team step in and say “Objection - Asked and Answered”

However, I couldn't believe he actually referenced a tabloid article and rogue website called Behind The Magic in an attempt to prove Depp was fired from POTC before the op-ed though.
It's laughable at best that he is relying on gossip magazine which are not a legitimate source of information and have been sued numerous times for defamation themselves as a desperate attempt to prove that's true.

The process of being a good lawyer isnt the same as a research paper. I am assuming you are talking about the trash op'eds etc that he refers to. He isnt saying that any of the articles are telling any truth. For this case it doesnt matter if Johhny Depp smoked crack cocaine before every set of his previous movie, drooled and failed to remember a single line. The point was that there exists negative articles, truth or fake, any of which could have caused JD to miss out on the future movies. It makes it really hard to judge how much money he lost due to Amber and how much he lost due to any of the real or fake articles written about him.

Good move to have these two witnesses back-to-back. Marks worked within Hollywood for 50 years and could tell the jury what was going on there, while Bania showed the technical side, with number crunching and trend analysis. The testimony of the two fortified each other, but from different orientations.
