I am a 74 year old, female, Catholic, Democrat from CALIFORNIA-- BUT-- I just love you two!! PLEASE keep on with your songs, jokes and remembrances of a better, kinder, gentler world. Lord knows how we need that NOW.
Here in New England we got the GLENWOOD Stove. 95 years old and still "Reporting for Duty".. Got a big pot of HOT water on the back burner for washing and shaving and she is running on coal now, as I gather 'round the Computer to listen to the MORON BROS. Thank you for the great Entertainment and the Wonderful Prayer... Thank you for having the courage to do that in this day and age....
There is no better way to get through this virus that reading the Bible. But a close second is listening to you two old guys, so good and old fashioned. Greetings from Queensland Australia
Winter mornings were about the same in southern Oklahoma in the 1940s and 50s except no electricity so no radio or TV. But, we wrapped the iron in gunny sacks and put them at the foot of the bed.
Built my house and put in a wood burner. That thing works better than the heat pump and they are efficient nowadays. Wood heats me three times. When I cut down the tree, when I split it and when I burn it.🙂
These boys always remind me of better days gone by. I sure wish I could relive them but this is gonna have to be good enough. Simple talking straight shooters is what this country was built on. Warms my heart that there are still folks like this in the insane world we now find ourselves in. Thank the good Lord I was raised a country boy.
My grandfather "Sprout" used to live right by the High Bridge Park. Many's the time my Mom and Dad went down there to listen to the Grand Old Opry, on a big tube set with copper-colored circles on the front... "Acme Boots have Country Roots!" "Go get a Goo-Goo, It's Good!" My uncle Georgie had a little store near the bridge, not the one with the Phillip Morris boy out front, the other one. He sold Goo-Goos, and they *were* good. I can see Granny now, pouring coal out of the scuttle into, yes, their Warm Morning stove! While we watched their 12" b/w TV that was heavy as an anvil, and showed mostly snow...
I love your song about Mother Praying for me!!!! There's so many of us that were kept safe because our Mommas prayed for us. Thanks for your show and your Wonderful Comedy!!!!! Good CLEAN FUN!!!! We need LOTS more of that!!!! God Bless you boys!!!!!!

Love the sound and the jokes. I'm watching this at 8pm 17 of January, we are your tomorrow. Don't you worry COVID is here to stay, coss it is as unwelcome as a circle fly and won't leave.
I grew up in northern Minnesota. We had a wood cook stove, and mom cooked our meals on it. My job was to split wood all the same dimensions. So mom could control the heat. My brother Larry and I slept in the same bed. In winter time our body heat would cause condensation and me being up against the wall, our seven quilts would freeze to the wall entill spring sun would shine on that wall. Very cold, so we would run the the stairs to dress by the stove.
yeah, we had a wood cook stove. We put the kids’ school clothes in the oven early in the morning. Then we’d call the kids to get ready for school. They came in the kitchen, dancing around on the cold floor as they skinnied into their clothes fresh from the oven. Ahhhh, then the sourdough flapjacks arrived just in time. Mmmmm
Ha. Great stuff. And Glenn and Jan moved up to Maryland to be near their kids. Great. What you left out was that NO ONE in Maryland could understand them. Good thing their kids are there.
