Been a fan of your channel for years Rick - from back in the days of your allotment and early van builds. Really got into your drive outs and ramble/ chats to camera. I love their unstructured nature- it really is like being out with a mate, when you end up chatting about anything and everything together; the time flies and you can’t wait to go out wandering again soon. I hope you keep up your great work for many years to come - it helps many cope with life’s challenges.

What a WONDERFUL walk in the woods in the Ancient Forest, its so amazing to get out into nature when its blue skies and dry and yes haha blue skies in UK and Ireland in Winter really is a rarity, I actually found this video so relaxing and the sound of you walking with the sound of the footsteps was like ASMR to the ears itself it was so relaxing, so wonderful with the Eagles and Woodpecker, I haven't heard one for years, it would be so cool to hear you talk about your views on the supernatural, U.F.O's, Ghosts etc, thanks so much for sharing the wonderful walk and chat with us Rick and sending lots of love and happiness from across the Irish sea XXXX

Hey Rick, a really lovely enjoyable video. Not snobby to mention litter etc, quite right. I have to say Rick you look wonderful , so happy and relaxed with no tension at all. Totally different to the diet videos ! I think us English people mostly appreciate the changing seasons and climate of the UK I love cosy Winter evenings by the fire and also the lighter longer Summer days. I’m nervous of walking alone in a forest, I wish I could. I don’t fear wild animals at all but worry about other humans who can often be more dangerous. Keep up whatever you’re doing at the moment Rick that makes you look so well. Congrats again on the video, loved the Woody Woodpecker and all of it . More please.xxx

If I had buzzards circling above me, I'd check myself for a pulse and get the heck out of there. But what I like about this new series of videos is the great variance of topics. Watching a video with just talking about diet or just cleaning can get dull. This is a nice outdoors environment and a wide range of very interesting topics. And if I suddenly burst into a sprint anywhere there'd BETTER be plenty of people around to carry me to the ambulance

Wales might be a good shorter trip, Rick, to see how a trip up to Scotland would feel. I would LOVE to float along with you up to Scotland. Only if it felt comfortable, of course!! And briefly about your comments about the weather.. I was in Los Angeles years ago with a friend who had moved there. I live in Australia, Sydney. While I love our beautiful climate, and endless sunny days, but at times I long for a week of rain. We often get rain at night, and sunny warm days, even in winter. A very cold winter's day here is 11c, but the nights can get down to 2c and occasionally minus 1 or 2. Very rare to get frost where I live, but love it when we do as it looks spectacular. We do get lots of foggy mornings in winter. I never take our weather for granted, I know we truly are the lucky country. Especially that I am able to grow almost all my fruit, veg, and nuts year round. G'day from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 😀

Today here in the northeast part of the US was about 40 degrees above normal for February and the sun was shining which is unusual for this area, and making it feel even warmer. I was thinking the same thing that it is appreciated when a brighter warmer day comes. Many people at the park and children at the playground and owners and their dogs enjoying the beautiful day. I am glad you are taking little bits of excursions and I can tell it’s enjoyable and relaxing for you. Somehow I think that experiences along your way are metaphors for your life. Paths to take, bluer skies than ever, sounds in the forest, little toy along the way 😊 I can understand you not wanting to discuss your 72 day way of eating but your should be very proud and beating the sugar addiction. Hi Rick, really nice video, your calming voice and the lovely sunshine, in nature, is healing. Regarding the big black Puma type cats. Two different times I saw one when I lived near Exmoor, once from my bedroom window in daylight and the other time I went out in the dark to get my horses in. I usually just had to call and they would come trotting in to their stables for the night, but this night they didn’t so I went to see what was wrong, with a powerful torch, and in the gateway were these eyes staring at me, not deer, not fox etc. being a country person I knew the difference. I started shaking nervously and slowly walked backwards, keeping the torch on the big cat. I must say it was beautiful and the neighbouring farmer showed us a sheep skin where the cat had eaten the sheep but left the skin. A gentleman who lived on Exmoor and wrote a book about the sightings included photos of the footprints locally, so they do exist but would never attack you in the woods when they can catch deer etc.

As for the subject ideas, I'd be at least interested in a 5 minute tour of your VR setup. And I for one at least appreciate the truck driving videos. The VR chat alternate world type stuff isn't up my chimney, but maybe it is for others. Speaking just for myself, I'm not really looking for an instructional or how to. But another video idea: Take us "behind the scenes" making a video for Honest Guys. Kind of like viewing the script, preparation, a bit of the recording, editing, etc.

On another note, My Google Nest Hub mistakenly got me hooked on some of your old vids. Good heavens you've been vlogging since at least 2011! And I watched you clear that "allottment" and start planting things. (I haven't gotten to what you finally yielded yet.) I liked your three minute "wine while planting seeds vid." Hi~We're having blue skies at the moment as well, with the promise of 67 degrees. Well, that's today; tomorrow a front roars down from Canada and it brings with it 7 to 8 inches of snow for us, with the threat of tornadoes in some parts of Michigan. Gemini's like variety, don't forget. Speaking of signage. Living on the edge of a Great Lake, naturally we have roads that lead down to the shores of Lake Michigan. And, of course, they're dead ends. Why on earth do they need bright obnoxious red and yellow ones warning that the road ends in l00 feet or so, when you can clearly see the lake just ahead of you. Oh, and there's also a very substantial barricade blocking the road?! You mention sightings of "cats", which can have a range of 200 or more miles. I have personally sighted panthers, wolves and Bears and more around here.
Remember I chased a wolf? What was I thinking!? I stay out of the woods now. I love your ramblings, and your wonderful voice makes them all the better. XX

That sprint idea sounds dangerous, especially for us in our 50s. A sudden jolt from still to maximum could strain or pull muscles, snap ligaments, extend things in our skeletal structure. The premises of short intense exercise is included in a HIIT session. But do your warm ups and cool downs to prevent any strains. Michael Moseley has a ten minute one on here, UA-cam. I do it each Sunday morning.

by the way, you can also make yogurt at home. it's even more simple than sauerkraut. we make it all the time. this way you control what goes into it. because even here, in the homeland of yogurt, bg that is, store-bought yogurt is known to have some questionable additives, such as not real milk. you can even add beneficial strains of bacteria that are not part of the original yogurt mix. i've read people add bacilus coagulans which is one of the very best. so the process goes like this: first you need a starter so you either buy a packet of bacteria or you get 2 spoons of plain, fresh yogurt. you boil 1l of milk and cool down to 42-44 degrees Celsius. stir in the starter and keep some place warm so the milk doesn't cool below that temperature. after about 4-5 hours, it should be coagulated and solid. we usually know it's ready if there's a bit of water on top. you can also taste with a spoon. then put in the fridge. it will firm up further. like true connoisseurs, we like it more sour so we keep it fermenting longer. keep a fresh spoon or two for the next batch. usually 1-2 spoons is enough for half a liter of milk.
