My parents in Europe (Netherlands) always celebrated Christmas in a modest way. At night to the Christmas party and then a currant slice and to bed. The consumer addiction to food and such with such a fat obese Santa Claus is unfortunately an American invention that indeed has little to do with religion. The eating feasts within Islam are not inferior to that, with a lot, lot of fat sugar bakings. In fact just common Africans food is organic and good as I understand on African comments, better then Wester fast food like chips etc. Sometimes progerssion means back to the basic qualities of a simple but satisfying balanced life...
