I know your fingers are raw from all that quilting. I use diaper rash ointment on my fingers at night and wear gloves to bed. It helps the dryness and finger pricks heal up. I am still regaining my strength from my time with Covid and the aftermath, I am back to sewing, but only for a few hours at a time, not the all day marathons that I used to do. I bought the foam stabilizer at Joann. I couldn't find it at Hobby Lobby. It's not cheap, about $10 a yard. I buy a lot in advance when it's on sale. Make some pretty slippers~🤗💕💕🌺

Hello~ I first encountered quilting through the PBS American educational broadcasting. I learned how to quilt while watching the broadcast and started making quilts by purchasing a book called "Stars Across America" by Eleanor Burns. Try a simple 9-patch pattern at first. You can usually buy fabrics at Joan or Hobby Lobby, and Walmart is not bad either. Or you could try something like a jelly roll. You will need a basic ruler and a rotary cutter. Hope this helps.
