Islands of Adventure - Popeye´s Sweethaven - Area Music Loop

This the complete music loop that plays in the area around „Popeye & Bluto´s Bilge-Rat Barges“ and „Me Ship, The Olive“. It contains new arrangements of well-known melodies like „Sailor´s Hornpipe“ and original exclusive material written for the park. This is a good example how instrumentation / orchestration helps setting the mood in themed areas - in this case this effect is achieved by choosing instruments that are often associated with nautical / ship / pirate environments (like flute, tin whistle, accordeon and guitar). A similar concept is used in other theme parks, Disney for example used shanty-based loops with similar musical "DNA" and orchestration around Adventureland for several decades.
