I’ve been in Lefkada 4 times. 2008, 2010, 2015 and last year. It’s incredible to see the development of the island. I always loved Lefkada because you can smell the real Greece, and not the touristic one. I saw a lot of villas and construction, luxury building and beaches. Can’t say I was happy about it
it seems that neither the road nor the parking lot is intended for the public cars. I think those parking spaces are only for the bar and administration...
Is there any parking? It looks like there is no where at the end of the drive down to park. I am going to Lefkada in September and would like to go this beach.
the road is very narrow. although there are two delimited lines, it is hard for me to believe that they will be able to easily enter two cars all the way down. I know it was closed last year. and I managed to entered this time, because there was no one and the gate was open. it could be a dedicated road only for ATVs and scooters ... I don't know ... there are also not many parking spaces down. they probably just fit 4 cars with difficulty. and on the side of the road, parking spaces are also narrow.
It is actually forbidden to drive down by government rules, we talked to the local restaurant owner and only with a permit they are allowed to pass 😅. So this was basically a once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to drive down.
@@alt_jaay6799 so it is then:) ... so it seemed to me. I did not know. it was the beginning of May and I saw that it was not closed, and I went down. later I found it a bit strange that they do not have parking space and it is more and more difficult.
@@TravelLevel7 Vorige week (13 okt) daar geweest.
@@dorineperegrines pitty. it's a shame that this is happening... I don't know who this road was made for. It cost something anyway, and it looks very good... It seems that the road is definitive, only for the bar staff or... I don't know. It seems that I was simply lucky.

And from the gate to the beach is about 1.2 km to walk?
something like this. I don't know exactly how people go to the beach in the season... possibly by scooter, or something like that. it is quite steep.

@@dorineperegrines kun je met de quad door die voetgangersingang?
@@TravelLevel7 Scooter is almost impossible the way back imho. Only by walking or by car ( what is forbidden todays).
