As a Torontonian, our subway system is a complete joke. This is the state of disrespair we have to deal with on a daily basis. I live between Glencairn and Eglinton West stations and whenever I go north or sometimes south, I always take a bus across to the other side. Our subway system is really falling apart and isn’t getting the funds they deserve from upper levels of government. World class city my ass.
And yet the subway is referred to as " The Better Way"...
I really hate slow speed zones, they always slow us down!!!

@@micha3615I mostly use the Yonge Side of Line 1
Nice
That's one of the reasons why this year 2024 sucks because of crap like this, The TTC slow speed zone all started in October 2023.
@@mrtransitfan647Imagine I have to ride from Wilson to Eglinton West at some point, I hate to admit, I won’t likely do it due to these slow speed zones could waste me 20-25 minutes just for that reason…
When I took the TTC for the first time, i went from Kennedy to dundas and they took the first train out of service and switched sides, and then they shutdown dundas due to a security threat
this is exactly why i prefer go even though it costs more
the subway actually moved slower than the jane bus when I went on it & compared via transee
this kinda makes me wish that one of those fantasy ttc maps are real
kinda? bro you SHOULD wish they were real because of the current state of public transportation here
I was just in Toronto yesterday attending the deep purple concert at Budweiser stage. And took the subway down to union station from Vaughan. I was getting annoyed at the slow downs I thought it was because of rush hour and we were just letting a train ahead of us get farther I had no idea about the speed zones.
I was actually surprised how slow the Spadina side was. I took it from Hwy 407 to St George and did not expect to take almost an hour.
Why are the doors closing so much faster?I remember back in 2017 the doors would stay open for much longer!
Probably because of timetables
@@emvvehicles_8 What do you mean by that
Tell me about it!!!
Now it takes like forever to go from Sheppard West to St. George.
Remember, slow speed zones are there for a reason and help prevent trains from derailing while the tracks are under construction, its why there is so much nightly track work. If the subway takes too long, you can also consider taking 84 to the younge side and transfering at sheppard-younge to like 1 then at bloor-younge to line 2 to st george

Omg i know its so annoying that line 1 has like 33 speed zones
