- a piece of advice to share; I cover my paint trays with a plastic grocery bag too; works well. If i'm not done painting, i also wrap my paint roller with plastic wrap. Recently I just placed my paint roller in a walmart bag and rolled it up to keep it from drying out .... and when I unrolled it to paint again, THE PRINT FROM THE BAG HAD TRANSFERED TO THE PAINT ROLLER!! 🙄 I just use plastic wrap now...
This transformation is stunning! I love the combination of colors and the hardware style. I really admire you for giving these pieces a new life. It reminds me of that video where you thoroughly cleared out that house you were renting because it was going to be torn down. Your eye for design is top-notch, but I think it’s underappreciated how much you save from being wasted and ending up in a landfill. Kudos to you, Lauren! 👏
Love this! I just recently resubscribed to your channel. I personally didn't like the direction this channel took for a long time. I was one of your original subscribers when you started paying off your student loan. I'm so happy to see you back to doing what I first subscribed to your channel for. All love. ❤
This is sooo beautiful! I used to be a "blue" person but last few years it is "greens" for me. The hardware is the cat's meow! I want it, so jealous, too far away.
I saw your work using Beyond Paint and decided to try it. Its now my go to paint. I've painted doors, trim, pier cabinets, outdoor rocking chair, bench and swing, end tables, stair cases and all sorts of furniture. I will say sometimes it takes a few weeks to cure to achieve the best adhesion. Also, I wish BP would add more colors or do color matching. I'd love to do the trim in my new house Sea Pearl.
I used this brand to paint a 9 drawer dresser and two night stands, I used bin synthetic shellac primer and any time anything bumps it it chips off and the white primer shows through. I'm going to have to use a top coat, not sure what I did wrong and why other people are loving this paint but I'm definitely not.@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher
@@savannahpraleikas4872 hmmm, it could have to do with it not being cleaned really well or moisture/humidity while applying! that’s super frustrating. did you use a roller and chip brush to apply?
Hi Lauren .. Just remembering your series when you created your lovely Air B&B. Are you still owning and renting it out? I enjoyed all of those videos so much.
Turned out beautifully. I personally think to take this piece to the next level you should do one of your custom bases and keep the wood either natural or do a paint wash with fusion algonquin. Will look stunning with the sage green. Top marks for the hardware as well.
Love the transformation! I also love Beyond paint! The hardware in the champagne brass is perfect. Have used Beyond Paint to renovate three 1970’s bathrooms in my grandmothers house that we are renovating and love the results! ❤
As usual Lauren it’s beautiful!! I have learned so much from you! One of the best things was numbering the drawers. It only takes a couple minutes and ends up saving me so much time. So thank you!!
I love the original curve of the feet so the middle skirt curves are appropriate. But the calm serene look of the color and those wonderful simplified hardware make the whole piece the cat's meow. You are selling me on that paint line, should i want to nake it easy on myself. .
Excellent result! I love that sage green color. That hardware and all the little faux drawers are also giving me apothecary cabinet vibes, which is a style I'm crazy about. So I wish I could also see this piece in an almost-black gray and/or an antique dark brown. In case anyone reading this has any recommendations for apps where I can see how things look in different colors. :)
Love the sage and your choice of hardware. They both work well together. You turned a well made, but dated, dresser into a nice modern piece of furniture. I would buy it for $650-$700 and feel l got a deal on a sturdy piece of furniture that l will get a lot of use out of for many years!
I have (almost) this same Early American style dresser and two nightstands in the cherrywood finish. I’ve been wanting to paint them, but the ‘faux’ looking drawers with the 18 pieces of ‘batwing’ hardware were throwing me off because everything doesn’t just line up nice and straight and even. Messes with my OCD mind! I’m so glad you did this piece and showed how easy it can be and not to sweat the hard(ware) stuff. 😂😂 I love the ease of the beyond paint, I’ll l for sure be looking into it.
Gorgeous transformation! I LOVE this color and must have it for my dresser turned entertainment center! I just went to purchase and it appears the code you shared is not working? I am super excited to get started so I'll probably grab it (and your hardware) anyway, just thought you might want a heads up on the code. Thank you for all you do and share! Loved it and the colour is beautiful. I really like the hardware as well, could you tell me what to search for looking for the hardware? Love your channel.
Quick question about the bondo glaze! I’m using fusion mineral paint, and after my first coat, I’m noticing a few spots that need minor filling. Can I but the second coat right on top of the glaze, without another coat of primer?! 🤞🏼🙏
Hi Lauren, if your hardware holes are just too close for comfort for the new holes.. what do you think of putting Bondo (or putty or wood filler) in a plastic syringe to make sure it gets really into the hole all the way to the other end of hole? Did that make sense? I hope so. 😂 That Sage color is very nice, it looks beautiful. Tia for answering if you can. 🙂
I love your work! I learned how to refinish furniture from watching your videos. Thank you! Just 1 question though, what brand of " spot putty" are you using?
Hi Lauren, this piece looks great. When you first started FFT you recommended another paint, I used this when I repainted my daughter's dresser it was great. Do you still use this paint? I would like to repaint my counters I will try this Beyond Paint. Thank you

So pretty, you just do a fantastic job. And I love how you show not everything goes as planned but will work out eventually. Love it
I love the color sage, and you gave a new life to that dresser choosing Sage. Excellent choice. ❤
Wow. That hardware put it over the top. Perfection!
Thanks, I loved the hardware too!
Just removing the hardware was a huge improvement

I love the hardware!! Plus sage is at the top of my list for colors. Great job, Lauren! A+
The handles really make it look modern👍
The color of the piece and of the hardware together is so stunning!

Also used BP Sage on an end table. Looks great with champagne gold hardwae!

I had this exact dresser for many decades, it made it through many military moves. I wish I had kept it and just updated it.

I'm thinking of beyond paint for a dining table. What do you think?

you could do that or use a baggie and cut a small hole in the corner. if you use a syringe the bondo will dry up in there
