This whole „Body-Attack“ separation way of doing things seems is here to stay. Split Eq, Michelangelo, this one here and probably some other plugin that i am not aware of. It is pretty useful at times. When you tried to process the snare i remembered of times i wanted to add attack to a snare in a full mix but it many times results in also the kick and everything getting more attack in the higher regions. So now while watching your video i thought „imagine a detector circuit that you can fine tune and set to follow the lower body of the snare which is much easier to isolate from the kick than the higher transients and then the plugin would add attack that is time synced with the snare event, thus resulting in transient enhancement only when the snare hits and not „add attack to everything around 4khz“. if that makes sense. Hope you get what i mean in my restricted english
Would anybody consider this as an alternative to clipping drums? I use sample drums like addictive drummer or toon track stuff in the snares in particular are often so spiky that it makes it difficult to manage things on the stereo bus going to the limiter. Thoughts?
you could try reducing attack in th ehigh bands of this plugin to see if it helps. Otherwise i'd try limiting only on the snare or even better, saturation. That shaves off transients nicely.
Gamechanger is a big word to use. I do like this body segment of the envelope shaping, will be intersting to see if other companies copy this idea. It is very useful.
I'll definitely jump on it when the salary kicks in 😂. Have you tried toneboosters new Eq yet? I've seen good reviews so far. Would love to see your take.
Your ideas for the plugin (the limiter per band, the makeup gain per band) are really good. I hope the company saw this video.

Multi-Band Mode is where this plugin really shines. Single-Band Mode is not good on uncurated signal material imho.
Donmt forget to try the hi and lowpass. Does a lot as well.

split eq does the sustain / attack thingy, lets call it two stage. This one does three stages with that middle body one, pretty unique.
