Thank you. I lived in Yokohama from 1965 to 1973. 10 years old to 18. Most of the places you show I have been to. Beautiful walk down memory lane. Motomachi, Isizakacho. Very few foreigners back then.
I've been to Yokohama twice now, travelling to Japan in about 5 weeks. Staying mainly in Machida with probably a trip to Osaka, plus a few daytrips to places such as Tokyo etc.
I was first introduced to YOKOHAMA 横浜市 in 1967. I was on R & R from Vietnam & my mentor had been partying in Yokohama for a couple years. So, he showed me the places a 20 yr old, far away from home, sailor needed to know about. Actually there were only 3 places that mattered: The RICKSHAW ROOM, CRAZY CORNERS & YOKOHAMA RYOKAN (Japanese style hotel), just around the corner from THE CRAZY CORNER STAND BAR. Over the next 3 1/2 yrs every R & R from Vietnam was to #YOKOHAMA.
13:04 Yeah ... I was thinking the same. 🤔 What is that contraption under the lamp. Is it functionally necessary or just an odd decoration. Looks like a multi-layered resting place for pigeons.
I have been a subscriber for quite a while now and have thoroughly enjoyed your filming. It seems to me though that the image quality isn't as good as it used to be. Have you changed cameras? Thanks.

The state of the street style in Japan ... a car with lowered rear axle. Mercedes Benz (18:13) and Chevrolet Impala -61 (27:45).
Last time I was in Yokohama was 1981. I didn't recognize much, everything has changed. Thanks for the walk, brought back a lot of memories.
Oh!!!! Such Amazing walking Tour! I'm following you very often, indeed!

Grand hotel, American bar, seaman center. Motomachi.

Hi, sorry for the question, the port. is this the port next to Gundam Factory?
Yes that’s right
Seeing Yokohama for the first time in 15 years, it seems that a lot has changed. 😆
I get the feeling that the crime rate in Japan…even in Tokyo….is virtually nill…what a fabulous, idyllic culture.
