@@cube1cze actually their chief design engineer for their Street division came from Ducati, which can be seen in the design element of the 450 SR/SS. I bought a Chinese Z650, a.k.a. the CFMoto 700CL-X, and I'm loving it so far. Very solidly built moto for what I paid for it and it's a blast to ride around town. It was between it and an MT-07 and the handling on it blew the MT away, especially the suspension and braking.
I bought the cf moto 450sr and I love. Except for the dealer not putting enough oil in the bike for the first 1450ks, as someone who has ridden daily for nearly 20 years... it's really awesome.
Spite, loved how you just steered around the cow (pun intended) without missing a beat and with no comment, like it just happens every day here in Texas!
You guys in the states don’t seem to have the advanced model according to the USA website, The advanced model adds keyless, steering dampener, quick shift, and Apple CarPlay ready 8” screen. Done nearly 1000kms in Australia and loving this bike. The app logs all the rides, sends notifications if the bike is moved or vibration is detected so essentially if it’s stolen you can find it quickly and on top of all that it has an auto wake feature when your walking towards the bike (just like some cars). The competition offers none of the apps features let alone at this price. Gizmos aside it performs and rides very well. I worked for Motorrad for years and the connected ride app ain’t nearly as polished, Shows how much the other brands are taking everyone for a ride (literally)!
Ive had the Ibex 800 T for 3 months and have over 2000 miles on it with no issues. CF Moto are doing great things! I'd recommend their bikes to anyone.
I went to a powersports dealership the other day, and got to look at some bikes (window shopping for the future) got to see some of CFmoto’s bikes in person. once I get a garage I may want to get one of these. My dad’s garage has nothing but Honda in it. I think CFmoto is just the kind of bike for me. They just need more peeps to try em out.
I bought the CFMOTO 650GT for my first bike as I'm a bit older and have some back problems. The riding position is so comfortable its a fun bike because its defiantly not "Fast" so you can ride the crap out of it and you are hardly breaking the speed limit. as for quality, it's well put together everything is tight and feels good but I have only had it for 2 months so I cant talk to the reliability piece yet but I haven't seen any red flags from other owners.
I bought one. Love the handling and power. Put the steering stabilizer on. Got on the bike to take it in for the 1st service. Rear tire had 7psi, front tire had 22psi. Both are leaking from the bead and dealer says it's a tire defect. CFmoto is replacing both under warranty, but it takes a week to have them shipped. Geez! I want to ride.
Had a 2022 CFMOTO CLX-700 for around 3,000 miles. Absolutely loved it. Only got rid of it because i a big aftermarket guy and love to make things mine...cfmoto doesnt have quite the aftermarket support just yet from 3rd party manufacturers. Miss it but glad i switched to a Yamaha XSR
I rode the Papio SS and was surprised with how good it felt and all the amenities it came with standard. Specially for a mini bike. CFMOTO is doing some really cool things in the two wheel space.
I test rode the 450ss and the CX-L a while back. I was pleasantly surprised by both, but especially the 450ss. They both felt very well made (aside from weirdly squishy turn signal switches, and a very strange power band on the CX-L). I think that if they could just somehow convince more people to test them out, the stigma would wane quite a bit. People scream about China with this sort of thing, but don't even blink twice when buying something from Walmart or Amazon that is almost certainly made in China. I'm personally very interested in the NK800. It seems to tick all the boxes that I'm interested in and at a ludicrous price point.
That's because when we buy things made from China at Walmart or Amazon, the price we pay, including taxes, is clearly listed with the product along with a generous return policy is the item does not work as intended. With CFMotor (or any manufacturer for that matter), we know not price nor reliability, and there is no return policy whatsoever. Let me leave you with a quote from my nearest CFMoto dealership that's advertising a leftover year CL-700 for $4900. "Advertised pricing excludes applicable taxes title and licensing, dealer set up, destination, reconditioning and are subject to change without notice."
@@langhamp8912 Well, the argument about hidden fees, etc. applies to any bike you buy no matter the manufacturer. They never include the freight/tax/tag/title/assembly fees on the sticker, that's just something that pretty much every dealership does irrespective of the brand. As far as reliability, I understand that stigma a bit more since a lot of Chinese bikes in the past have been pretty terrible, but CF Moto has been in the game (albeit behind the scenes) for a long time making engines for other major manufacturers (KTM primarily, but some others) so they have more credibility than most other Chinese brands.
@@langhamp8912 wtf are u on? that is literally every bike ever. look at n400, advertised price 5000$-something, sold for around 6.2 otd, that's pretty standard with all bikes and cars. Have you ever bought a vehicle? if not, look around before assuming stuff about a single company pricing lmao
Thanks for the awesome Vid, Spite; it was fantastic to hear your overview and first impressions, and I'm looking forward to that comparison with the MT-09 SP!
The bike is priced well. It just has to get past the stigma.(im part of the problem) when it comes to bikes like these i think Japanese first. I like the color scheme not loud like the KTM. Cfmoto just needs to get some traction as new riders move up from the NK300 and 450SS they will have a built in customer base. Great value for the money.
@@dreamcrusher112 maybe in that part of the world but here in asia, there's plenty of nk400, nk650, gt650 with literally no problems going 5+ years and 30k+ kms. The only bike that had power loss problems due to electronics was the 1st version of the nk400 which was sorted out by CFmoto the 1st year of them selling. I was interested by nk400 then but the problem for me was for a 400cc it's weight rivals that of the 650 class. But when they released 800nk in ph. I was one of the first to buy and needless to say, of all the bikes I've owned(all japanese) 800nk, imo, has better build quality than all my previous bikes. I'm at 5k kms now and no issues so far aside from the gas consumption, maybe because of my riding style.
@@dreamcrusher112to add. In terms of reliability I think that testing a bike in the tropical countries of asia is the best barometer. The horrific traffic + the average temp would test the quality of the engines. That's why you'll rarely see guys who owns Ducati's, Aprillia's use their bike daily here. I owned a monster 795 before and the heat from the V engine on standstill traffic was just unbearable and every hour of riding it in traffic I need to find a place to cool off the bike because of overheating since it's air-cooled

I got a 23' MT-09 as a first bike this year and one of the first things I did was adjust the suspension myself and while yes, the stock base suspension is pretty meh, especially the rear shock.... I am continually surprised by the amount of owners who suggest a steering dampener because they get speed wobbles above 90MPH. I have taken my bike all the way to the ECU top speed limiter and never had wobbles or even an uneasy feeling in the front end. I am glad cruise control seems to becoming more and more of a base model feature now, definitely something I wish was a feature on my bike. I'm really hoping to see CFMOTO make something like an 800SS in the future. Although their 3 cylinder 675SR is also something I'm looking forward to, hopefully it sees a release in NA.
Careful with the wobbles, i had an MT 09 Gen 3 and sometimes depends of the road it wobbles... Front brakes are shit and the frame is pure garbage . Get full coverage insurance , the frame cracks like shit .
I doubt they'll make a sportsbike version of the 800nk. Remember, part of the reason this bike exists is because CFMOTO is using KTM 790 parts they were already manufacturing for the relaunched version of the KTM 790, which was never designed to be a faired sportbike.

My CF loves 5 to 6 grand where the PowerBar comes on strong and its an NK. I have no complaints. I with mine and I have had it almost a year. CFMoto is taking the motorcycle market by storm. I'm looking forward to when the CL-C gets here (their cruiser) and also what other bats**t crazy products they bring forward. Once again a great video Spite, be safe and have fun!
Cool you got to ride one of your most anticipated motorcycles, happy for you! Funny you mention people want to see a lot of tech and/or features for the lowest price as possible or the most reasonable price I guess? While I am here sitting like: ...uhm.. nah..don't need lean angle sensors, anti wheelie control, ride modes and what not. Meanwhile my bike although having heated grips and a windshield added/ It doesn't have ABS (it is optional when it was released a lot of them were sold with) no traction control or ride modes etc. Just an analog RPM gauge a display with time, coolant temp, fuel gauge, speed in km/h and of course total km's ridden and obviously the indicators, neutral indicator, low beam high beam control light and an engine check light I think which I can't confirm since that hasn't lighted up, lol. I get rider aids are useful especially traction control and ABS, I see value in that, and sure cruise control can be a nice feature as well. Same anti wheelie stuff for safety but it wouldn't be my demands for bike. Maybe later they'll become more of thing or something idk. So far just really happy with my bike and the features it has. Really learns me how to handle a bike without helping aids. Note: Not opposed to any of the technologies being added on bikes or cars even, but I do think they are overdoing it occasionally.
You're right about the steering dampener. Here in Australia we have the NK800 Advanced, which comes with the dampener preinstalled, plus a massive 8 inch TFT touchscreen dash & a few other farkles. On future pricing though, I think you're off the mark. The NK800 Sport is $10,990 ($7,158 USD) out the door here including taxes & registration, while the NK800 Advanced is $12,490 ($8,135 USD). Even factoring in higher shipping costs, there's still a big gap, so if CFMOTO can get some sales volume happening in the US you'll see prices dropping rather than increasing in the future.
@@jcsuperstars1100 Sounds like you need a towel. 😅 Or some jam & cream if you're from Oz. Damper in Australia is a type of bread originally made by early settlers, hence we call them steering dampeners.
I've been waiting for a good review from an American UA-camr. Thanks!!! Keep it up and I can't wait for the other videos to come out. MSC out of Mississippi has tunes on the other cfmoto bikes. You should check them out.
Just bought this last month, been waiting for the US version to show up and snatched it up as soon as it hit the showroom floor. Just wish the US had the advanced version but for the price (9.4 out the door) it's amazing.
Interesting Spite 🤔 you're talking about a potential future R model. It already exists, so maybe you just don't get it in the US. In the Australian market, it's called Advance. It comes with a steering dampener, quickshifter, 8 inch TFT with Apple CarPlay.
Do you not get the Advance model in the states? As in Australia the one you are riding is the entry level Sports. The Advance comes with a tablet sized display, up and down QS and a steering stabiliser as standard with cruise control. It’s about $1,000 USD more.
I ride an Indian KTM and it's great. China and India are bike heavy countries so both make a ton of good reliable machines. Having some extra cred by way of a more recognized brand liked KTM attached to this just seems like a win to consumers outside of China.
you talked a lot about how it looks like there is a spot for a steering stabilizer on the triple tree. the KTM 790 Duke has a steering stabilizer and considering how many parts are shared between the bikes, i would imagine thats why. i wouldnt be surprised if an aftermarket or OEM stabilizer made for the 790/890 would fit it perfectly.
I’ve tried J Juan brakes on a couple Zero bikes and I wasn’t exactly impressed. Maybe part of that comes down to regen, but reeling it back from triple digits gave me a weird pulsing sensation reminiscent of early ABS, not electric motor regeneration. Maybe that’s just expectations around a $22k bike compared to $8.5k for this. Idk about having one long term, but for a year or so, yeah, this is a win
I wanted it in the summer, this or the hornet, i didnt get neighter, last week i just ordered the 800 nk advanced at 6780 euros payed 30% and 6 other equal payment a month, no intrest but i know i already know i wont wait till the summer.
Im guessing the lack of power in the middle is the torque curve getting flat and still building to max hp so you're in a bit of a power void. Just a guess though.
Ahoy! I like what CF Moto is doing and I’m curious about some of their bikes though… at 13:15, the bike had quite a hissy fit with that bump flashing the hazards/etc, loose wiring connections?
So same price as the Honda Hornet, why would I get this instead? or spend one grand more and get a Z-900. I just don't see this as inexpensive enough to do much.
@@spitescorner Looks are always personal opinion and yes a little more power but Honda quality and resale value. I think the CF is a solid bike, but it should be cheaper if they really want to make a dent in the market IMO.
The price on this bike is adequate actually. That's the average price of similar bikes on Chinese market, it's competitive. A side question: would you still support your words about Svartpilen 401? Is it a decent choice for a scrambler? At this price point in China I could get a decent 600 v4 (although it's a cruiser). Kind of in the middle of making this decision
@spitescorner once you get more miles on it I'd like to hear what you'd buy, I'm trying to decide between this, tuono 660, and mt09, comfort is probably the most important aspect as I ride over an hour each way to work.

CFMoto is taking the motorcycle market by storm. I'm looking forward to when the CL-C gets here (their cruiser) and also what other bats**t crazy products they bring forward. Once again a great video Spite, be safe and have fun!
CL-C looks sweet.
dude this video & your utterly immature laughter is everything i need to know about this bike ahaha thank you again spite! CFMOTO for the win!!
CF moto are coming, i am having the MTX 800 as soon as that bas7ard hits the shops
Big question is will Honda bring the Hornet 750 to the USA ?
that looked like some pretty stellar traffic you got there in austin.
That laugh you gave was legendary 😂 every biker knows that one 😁👍
Seeing them get cheaper would be interesting, but it makes sense if they have the Advanced. Have a cheap SKU and an expensive one.
Damper*
@@jcsuperstars1100 Sounds like you need a towel. 😅 Or some jam & cream if you're from Oz.
Damper in Australia is a type of bread originally made by early settlers, hence we call them steering dampeners.
and quickshifter
Wheelie control
The lack of traction control is the main purchase-stopper for many, with that said - it's 90% likely to be my next bike in a few months
I've been waiting for a good review from an American UA-camr. Thanks!!! Keep it up and I can't wait for the other videos to come out. MSC out of Mississippi has tunes on the other cfmoto bikes. You should check them out.
Have the 650Nk and have the same issue at speed of 70 to 80 little wobbles but overall great bike
I test rode this bike recently it was a beast! My only issue is it cost the same as a ktm 790
The 790 is completely manufactured by CF Moto, albeit under KTM guidance.
@@kawihonsuzi1891 yea but i just think most people would choose the ktm. But i will say the tech on this bike was very impressive
Just bought this last month, been waiting for the US version to show up and snatched it up as soon as it hit the showroom floor. Just wish the US had the advanced version but for the price (9.4 out the door) it's amazing.
At 5’9” with longish legs. Would I be able to flat foot it?
Interesting Spite 🤔 you're talking about a potential future R model. It already exists, so maybe you just don't get it in the US.
In the Australian market, it's called Advance. It comes with a steering dampener, quickshifter, 8 inch TFT with Apple CarPlay.
looks like a really nice ride and good value. One I would consider if CFMoto was here in AK.
Having some extra cred by way of a more recognized brand liked KTM attached to this just seems like a win to consumers outside of China.
you talked a lot about how it looks like there is a spot for a steering stabilizer on the triple tree. the KTM 790 Duke has a steering stabilizer and considering how many parts are shared between the bikes, i would imagine thats why. i wouldnt be surprised if an aftermarket or OEM stabilizer made for the 790/890 would fit it perfectly.
the corners were cut on the R&D, they took the already present KTM and changed it a bit, that is a big saving
As well as the great value bike I’m loving those gloves and jacket watching from England UK 🇬🇧🤙
So nobody’s gonna mention the FN V Max sitting at the red light 7:57
If they come out with a fully faired version like the 450SS, but 800SS, I'll be the first on the line to buy it
gonna be a fun bike to play with. cant wait to see more.
I want one but I am a bigger dude and a new rider so a bit cautious. But it is a beautiful bike.
Jjuan is owned by brembo now. So the quality and engineering is there.
Spite ... WHAT gloves are those?? I LOVE 'em!
I am really excited for this bike. Might even trade my speed triple 1050 in on it next season
That would be very stupid. CF 800NK is a good bike but nowhere near to your TST.
I EU we have the advance option whit the big tft and bobble shock absorber , quick shifter, i love the bike
That one has the smaller tft screen that looks better than the big one. The 800nk here has a tablet.
that laugh sold me on it
I've been watching all you cf moto videos with interest, but i also bough an early Hyosung back in the day and im scared
Add a windscreen and some hard cases and this could be a big time do it all bike
Talks about stealing and riding stabilization and then proceeded to take both hands off to explain lmao love it
Needs a tune and that'll solve it. Sounds like it has the S1K 4-8k rpm dead spot. That gets fixed with a tune also
I wanted it in the summer, this or the hornet, i didnt get neighter, last week i just ordered the 800 nk advanced at 6780 euros payed 30% and 6 other equal payment a month, no intrest but i know i already know i wont wait till the summer.
Im guessing the lack of power in the middle is the torque curve getting flat and still building to max hp so you're in a bit of a power void. Just a guess though.
I’m hoping to see a video on the 450 nk soon. I’m looking at possibly getting the 450 or a z650 as my 2nd bike
SP version is around 500-700 more , comes with a bigger screen, tunable sus and steering damper
Thank you
J.Juan calipers and braking system is part of brembo group, therefore the quality is very good.
Displacement just seems to keep creeping higher and higher
I am super interested in this bike.
What are those gloves they look sick
Ahoy! I like what CF Moto is doing and I’m curious about some of their bikes though… at 13:15, the bike had quite a hissy fit with that bump flashing the hazards/etc, loose wiring connections?
It was the rain. I'm pretty sure it was catching some wheel spin leaving the low water crossing.
@@spitescorner ah ok, makes sense. My KTM doesn’t flash the hazards, only the traction control light if it’s on.
If they release an 800ss I’m going to the dealer asap.
Non US market has a premium version of this and I want that one
You are aware of the cam shaft issues associated with the KTM 790 engine yeah 🤔
awesome video but you forgot to do a nice walk around, showing the parts and stuff
one of the best looking naked bikes ❤
i like it alot. I feel like im more interested in the 450NK. should be similar I hope.
450NK would sound a bit better with its 270° crank engine
What is your opinion of the stock tires? Would you "sport tour" on them?
Or do you have alternate tires in mind?
They're decent for road work, but on track they're a mess
@@spitescorner - The tires should be the first mod, then - if only to improve its canyon-carving credentials. And after that, a steering damper.
So same price as the Honda Hornet, why would I get this instead? or spend one grand more and get a Z-900. I just don't see this as inexpensive enough to do much.
Because it's got more power and tech than the Honda and is less ugly than a Z-900
@@spitescorner Looks are always personal opinion and yes a little more power but Honda quality and resale value. I think the CF is a solid bike, but it should be cheaper if they really want to make a dent in the market IMO.
@@spitescorner and just wanted to say love the channel and your vids. Nice to have a no BS channel on bikes!
Do you know if the newer version coming to the USA? Like the European versions with smart key and bigger cluster ?
Would you recommend this to a vary tall and heavy rider, looking for something more fun than a Cruiser?
Jjaun is owned by Brembo other than the name pretty much same brake.
Kind of in the middle of making this decision
goddamn they got the styling down
Even on a demo bike maybe keep the second key separate 😏
Love the CFMoto bikes!
Is that 2024 version? The 800 NK here in the Phillippines has the BIG and UGLY TFT display that looks like a tablet
I'm so excited for this bike.
Can you tell a difference in the modes? I have a 650NK and the only thing that changes is the screen
There's a big difference between rain and sport. Street is less noticeable but somewhat more chill
@spitescorner once you get more miles on it I'd like to hear what you'd buy, I'm trying to decide between this, tuono 660, and mt09, comfort is probably the most important aspect as I ride over an hour each way to work.
Would you recommend this as a beginner bike
yes
How do we think the reliability is gonna be? Its the only thing stopping me from making it my first pick
I'm going to put a bunch of miles down on this one, and do the first service. That'll tell a lot about it, but honestly, I think it's going to be fine.
@@spitescorner No enfield super meteor review yet spite? Is it on the cards soon?
Dealerships are usually the problem for me, too far away and very few. This is from a UK perspective, not US@@spitescorner
God he loves CF moto ❤ (looking fwd to MT 450 adv)
Spite I have a Question do you wear a nappy (look it up ) that seat looks so thin. I have had pushbikes with better seats then that. Other wise minted.
At least we can see what they're doing with all those KTM and Yamaha parts 😂
