- Grandmaster William Cheung demonstrates the key principles of the Traditional Wing Chun System that he learnt from his Master Grandmaster Yip Man. The weakness of the opponents balance, the open targets, the opponents elbow and if he should cross his arms, all present strategic targets to the student of Traditional Wing Chun and should be attacked when the opportunity presents itself. To aid in this Grandmaster Cheung shares some Chi Sao (Sticking Hands) techniques that develop the contact reflexes to enable the Wing Chun practitioner to be able to take advantage of the opponents various weakness at the speed of reflex action. As well as developing the visual reflexes by watching the opponents leading elbow to key the practitioner in on the intended move of the opponent. Also contained in this video is the Bil Jee form and some of its applications. The emphasis being on stabilising the opponent by attacking the balance and steading the target so that a strike can be delivered accurately to the vulnerable target. As always, hope you enjoy the video its one of my favourites! Sifu Dom Békés
I love to watch the grand master teach, thanks for posting.
Grandmaster Cheung thank you for posting this film. Will be watching many more times.
I agree...
Martial arts are amazing. To see these master's work is a gift.
Thanks for sharing! Have an awesome day!
Bonjour,Belle démonstration et explication.Cordialement
I've been watching his seminar for almost 2 hours. Up to now he is the only person made me interested in WC. As a TKD oldschool champ, its not hard for me to learn new techniques but his philosophy and strategy is the key to puck up new skills from WC. Thank you Master.
Great teacher. Taking notes
Very Good instruction indeed..
I love this clip due to it's Dim Mak techniques and usage of pressure point strikes!!!!
I'm fascinated with all these wonderful moves thank you 😊
Man what An Amazing, Intelligent, and One of The Best Ever!!!!!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
he is so good...he make it so easy to understand..so awsome
Had the pleasure of attending some of his seminars in late 80's. A great teacher.
Fantastic stuff.
Very beautiful to watch for knowledge.
This martial art I think really will become natural for me personally, I really thank you...
a passionate teacher👍🏻
I learned a lot from the teacher iv watch a couple of his technique s are very good
basics are what is needed
This master must be totally highly skilled,, trust me people am watching from East Africa, am sure of pressure points he has been showing, if possible, follow his class for success
Thank you! I like the tan say explanation
Tan sao?
Many people always hating on WC, but he seems like a nice person and very good teacher.
So if I was a nice person and good at teaching Harry potter magic does that mean you should believe in it?
kinjo695 more chance of Harry potter magic working!
When the wolf isn’t able to reach the grape , says it’s immature.....a word to the wise...
@@kinjo695 What are you trying to say man? I paid a lot for this "Elder-wand"!
@@davydtaylor4151 Yeah, dude. My magic wand works great! Just ask yer mom. OK -that was uncalled for. Sorry.
Grandmaster William Cheung,, Thank you.
The master is so so cool. I love watching his videos.
Cool video.
Still after three years,,, thank you so much in showing
Excelente...!!!❤
Amazed I was able to sit back on the comfort of my couch, and inherit such useful knowledge. Sifu Charles Boness in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin can bring you closer to William Cheung lineage.
A great performance of Bil Ji
Great stuff from W. Cheng, grandmaster.
Some great thoughts🤔👊👍
Very good seminar. I train and teach Moy Yat lineage Wing Chun but I always seek to learn more and have an open mind. Many of the principles are of course the same for all types of Wing Chun, but I really like the BOEC and other topics he covered. Thanks for posting this.
he was talking about adjusting the video to slow motion in 1996 lol he was ahead of his time 12:55
He is and was by 20 years
Excellent
This man is a Legend.
GrandMaster William you’re a real teacher a mentor nd awesome coach
I have Great Respect for Grandmaster Cheung because he explains the Wing Chun and he being training from a kid and know both Modified version and TWC .
hand slapping glorification demo😎 ...never happens in actual combat but its fun
i like allot how calm speak
He's from the south most likely, when he said Wing Tsun was developed by a Nun in Si-Lum Temple that is the southern way of saying Shaolin Temple :) just a slightly different southern dialect of Mandarin Chinese. He is a great and enthusiastic teacher you can see that immediately as he begins teaching.
Es un excelente maestro enceñado demaciado a estudiantes araganes.El es mucho maestro👍
Great Video.... I need more 😅
The best and completed traditional Wing Chun with model system is in Hong Kong, Australia, America, UK and Germany.
I remember seeing this Sifu at tournaments. The problem that these MMA or UFC fans attacking Wing Chun is because they do not understand the fundamentals of the style. It works if you take the time to listen and watch William CHEUNG use a lot of trapping techniques and counters. This stuff works and can be used in full contact fighting. It’s all about speed and power in fighting. Once you master this type of style, you will be fast and efficient. Speed kills and a professional boxer would have problems if they have no counter against a really good Wing Chun practitioner.
je vous grace monsieur Grands maitre Willam Cheung kungu fu vraiment je m´tres content.
love it
Respect!
Maybe I'm prejudiced, but this still makes more sense to me than many other 'grandmasters' of Wing Chun.
Stating the obvious tends to make sense. "To win you must attack" "block the left side with the left hand" .... Pearls of wisdom 😂😂😂😂
Only one Ving Tsun Grandmaster to day
The real deal - surpasses the modified Wing Chun - thanks for posting!
There is no such thing as modified wing chun. This guy is a liar who was beaten by Emin Boztepe back in 1987 at a seminar in Germany.
Ideally through perfect
Seems like a very nice guy and he really knows his stuff and is very quick also
Meet Gm W.C throw John Clayton in the mid 1980's like 86 or so. He is a fun guy and serious instructor. I do like his method of Wing Chun but I like others also.
Interesting information to watch and learn.
You have changed my life
It was developed By Eng Mui and passed down to Yim Wing Chun.
Excellent .. training... Were do you give classes.. or do you know any good trainers in Santa Barbara.. or San Luis Obispo county....
Very well indeed
William Chung is My Sifu's Sifu. (Brian Lewadney is my Sifu in Calgary Canada.)
Trained with Brian in Thunder Bay Ontario
I love Wing Chun always learning everyday practice makes perfect. Self-taught since I was a little boy as I got older it seems like I'm getting better I hope to pass this on to my kids as time goes on
William Cheung ist the best BG Master all the Time.
I wish I can work with one of the Grandmasters like sifu Cheung
What other Grandmasters living of Ving Tsun are their? Only one.
Nice sticky hands, great biu gee,dim mak
GM William Cheung 👍👍🤜🤜
Respect for this Master of WC, highly respect of his skills, but I am sorry to say, I´m missing a bit the concept.
It is going too much in technik,
May watch some videos from Emin Botstepe. He brings more line into his lessons.
But respect Master Cheung
good
Hey this is good
Wing Chung is All...
I started to trained in Melb in 2002 n I hit one of your black belts. He could understand how a new student could hit him......I explained him that I had some years of training g in two more styles.....wing chun has many holes you can see them if you know other techniques...
Almost thought that was Mantak Chia
he can move 25 miles while opponent just one, and pivoting to face him as he goes into his infamous but extremely flawful concept of GOING TO THE BLIND SIDE !!
BTW, wc never urged people to block at the elbows !!
comes from red boat opera no more stories please
Best Wing Chun ever.
Ip man Wing chun. the real wing Chun is old style no new style the are 2 Wing chun art .Bruce Lee style
BG(Big);-)
Bruce Lee considered Grandmaster William Cheung his mentor good friend and perhaps the only one capable of defeating him for referance check the letter written to GM Cheung by Bruce Lee in GM William Cheung's book Wing Chun Bil Gee nuff said
Only when they were kids, Bruce would have annihilated William as an adult.
4:27 His reaction is priceless lmao
This seems so confusing! I have no idea what all those words like chi sau mean!
Chi sau means sticky, or sticking, hands. It's part of Wing Chun training.
I LOVE THIS ART BUT BUT MY ONLY QUESTION IS CAN YOU PRACTICE WHEN YOU HAVE BACK PAINS???
Not at all
This what you ask Bruce Lee did it. He reclaimed he's back. Sandro
Thumb to the Peck is hilarious
I did a lot of martial arts in my life and a big part was wc. What me always bothered was all the talking without pressure testing.
Very beginner level
oui je vous d accord c est martaile de Wing Chun est system martiale de sience au monde Chine ou Chinoise , franchement je vous remerci trop, un peu plus tard
Ок!
The first escen was mostly palm and elbow.... .
I HAVE HIPS TROUBLES BUT I LOVE IT````
Robert chudwick
I like to learn 🙄🙄
At 17.30 , with him controlling both the opponent's arms with 1 arm , a better way to do it is to just use the other arm to plow the opponent's face in... Why didn't he do that?
Because he was talking and explaining stuff, perhaps?
10:55 11:30 15:00
And for you naysayers commenting about the pitfalls of this style, I'd like to see you match up with Mr. Cheung, then the talk would end, and quikly. Besides how many of you have trained with Bruce Lee like this man has ?.
Tell Mr. Cheung to come down to the boxing gym and do some real sparring. Let's see if this sheet really works lol
@@gosoku2771 Cheung, who is 83 years old, has trained professional boxer Alfredo Angulo, who is his student and also Cheung is good friend with Mike Tyson who has great love and respect for him. He has studied the Cus d'Amato boxing style and knows more boxing than you and your friends at the gym ever will.
I THINK BREATH IS THE ANSWER!!!
Those our faths of 19 54 sielce periodically avec Mr. Late Bruce Lee often we must appreciate them about this chiness martiale Wing chun in around world let' we say save those Papa or our father stay long and open their heaven ameeni.
I like this as self defense esp for woman as he said earlier it was invented by two woman. Its not about brute strength or anything like that. Most common spineless criminals on the street wouldnt stand a chance against someone with wing chun skills. It would be over very very quik.....
To control the elvo first...
I was raised by Joseph Khaul former Hand of the Queen he was my first Master. He sent me to Dan Inosanto Senzo Tanaka Hattori Hanzo Ip man Cheung Tin Chi Ra's Al Ghul Lei Kung and to China to Pai Mei 1985 1986 I'm known as the Demolition Man.
And that’s much slower than his fastest.
Last one. I think that Bruce Lee had to mix wing chun with other styles cause he discover that Wing chun was predictable n that you don't use legs .....so if u find somebody with fast legs you will get in problems
Luis Enrique Leon leon wing chung uses legs xd
I have a mole on my elbow same as the grandmaster AND I talk with my hands all the time....this makes me A TRUE SIFU!!
Xd
I love wing chun but it's wing chun countering wing chun ..like other styles of combat countering their own technique on the pre tense that in a fight they're facing someone with the same knowledge !...and forget that people fight different and might offset techniques ....or as Bruce lee would call broken rhythm.. but on the whole great kung fu !
Mortal Kombat Chaotic!! The Grand Master Lin Kuei Wins!! Flaw Less Victory Fatality!!
