I wish San Diego State could share their new stadium with the Chargers, if they had attendance problems in Los Angeles, and they were to possibly move back to San Diego, I’m sure they could expand Snapdragon Stadium to accommodate an NFL game, I wish San Diego could build a football stadium especially to host the Super Bowl, Qualcomm Stadium hosted I think three Super Bowls
The Charger situation is unfortunate. It would have been nice if they could have built an NFL stadium for the chargers in the first place. Perhaps in the future they will expand this stadium for an NFL team.
@@StadiumsoftheWorld10 It is unlikely that Snapdragon Stadium would ever be the home of an NFL team. Most Aztec fans do not want the NFL in our college stadium. The NFL needs a much bigger stadium and they will want to control the stadium. SDSU right sized this stadium to their audience size. We don't want to add 30K seats for an NFL team and have a 1/2 empty stadium. If we can get the Aztecs in the PAC-12, I will expect larger and more enthusiastic crowds. Last year they had a very poor set of opponents at home so we did not have a single sellout and the crowds were not very vocal. The team also started out poorly and did not improve their quality of play until their offensive coordinator resigned mid-season. This season we have a better line-up at home with top-tier Mountain West opponents. This should draw bigger crowds. A PAC-12 membership will increase crowds much more.
I like that they designed it to be expandable for the NFL if that were to happen. I worry that it's not expandable enough. 55,000 is pretty small for the NFL.
Great 🏟️. SD should've built it larger to try to get The⚡ back. The old site is perfect. The⚡ play in a 20K seat ⚽field in LA. Do SD want The⚡ back? Doesn't look like it.😥
They can expand the stadium, but probably not big enough for the chargers. If the Charger were ever serious about coming back I am sure they could renovate the stadium for the chargers.
Snapdragon stadium is not designed to lure an NFL team back and no NFL team will ever call this their permanent home. This is a college stadium designed specifically for San Diego crowd sizes in the MWC and expandable as crowd sizes grow if they get that PAC-12 invite. This stadium was designed, though, to lure an MSL expansion team and be a year around venue for concerts and other stadium events that will pull money into San Diego State. The MSL has chosen San Diego and Snapdragon stadium as the home for their new expansion team, so mission accomplished. Next big step is that PAC-12 invite. That will have a huge impact in audience size. The biggest problem with the Chargers is their owner, who most people in San Diego despise. That is why SDSU got the opportunity to buy the stadium site.
@@StadiumsoftheWorld10 There was supposed to be development around the stadium. That's probably why people aren't showing up for the games. No pre game entertainment to lure fans or College alums.
Boise only jas Boise State. SD has the Padres amd had the chargers for years SDSU is always second tier. Here in Fresno, Fresno State is much louder than SDSU games.
May be expandable but SDSU only averaged 15,000 fans in 2022. More people in the San Diego area than in the state of Utah yet Utah averaged 54,000 and BYU 60,000.
35,000 they can’t even sell that out California doesn’t care about college sports. That’s why the Pac 12 is falling apart…… the four corner schools need to go ahead and jump ship and come to the big 12 or the big boys play football
Quit being salty. You should have voted for that new stadium proposal that got voted down and gave the Chargers no choice but to go back to their original home in L.A. and YES they DO have fans there! I'm one of them. Cheered for them after both the Rams and Raiders left and still a fan now.
@@sjdrifter72 I wonder if you even know the conditions of who was able to vote? Not all of San Diego residents were able to vote for a new stadium. Or I should say more to the point, not allowed. Only in the district within the downtown area where residents were able to vote. Which so happens to be the least populated area and one of least densely populated in the city. Dean Spanos knew exactly what he was doing to ensure a ballot measure specifically targeted to only that district and not for city wide or county wide vote would successfully fail. He was going to leave no matter what.
Great that San Diego voters rejected the Spanos family incompetent ownership. Help these idiots finance a new stadium when all the other new CA stadiums are finance without public money would have been insane.
This is a nice stadium. It looks like a great place just to hang out and chill, even if you're not a SDSU fan. Just something to do on a Saturday.
I would definitely agree. We had a lot of fun just hanging out in the stadium which is not always the case at other college football stadiums.
The first game played at this stadium was one of the hottest days ever recorded in SD.
Exactly.
I would have liked to visit Big Ten Stadiums. You did visit Penn State and Maryland, but would really like to visit every Big10 campus stadium. WOW!!
Big 10 Stadiums are awesome. The biggest in the country. I hope to go to all of them in the future.
It's a beautiful soccer stadium, kudos
Beautiful stadium in a great city.
I bet you they get more people to attend a soccer game then SDSU game
Nah, that's definitely a 🏈 stadium.
Yes it is and the MSL will be having the new MSL San Diego expansion team playing in this football 🏈 stadium.
Nice tour.
Thank you. I Appreciate it.
No bench seats, already one of the nicest stadiums in the Pac 14 to be. Hopefully San Diego shows up.
It is one of the nicer stadiums around. It would be exciting if SDSU joins the Pac 12.
Hoping to catch a Wave game here this year and tbh hopefully the Loyal move here too
It is nice to see soccer will be played there as well. Snapdragon stadium would be an upgrade from Torero Stadium for the Loyal.
cute little stadium san diego always thinking small and cute not big and bright

Can you tour Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati
I can head out to Cincinnati to do a tour and create a video sometime during this coming baseball season.

I want to see the L.A Coliseum next
I plan on going there next college football season and will do a video.
The stadium looks minimal but I guess that's what you get for 300 Million. Nice modern stadium though... perfect for San Diego State.
It is a very nice stadium for college. Unfortunately they are not getting a lot of people going to the games.

Agreed. That is definitely a problem. One of the nice things about Petco Park is it is downtown with a lot to do before and after the game.
It's expandable to 55,000
Very true. Hopefully they can join the Pac 12 and expand the stadium in the future.
No need to expand Can it can de-spanded (seats taken out)? SDSU only needs a 22k stadium at most! Go Dogs beat the Aztecs!!
@@robertperez4992 we own the oil can rivalry lol
No you Can judge them…they average 21k of fan support despite having an state of the art stadium. Go Dogs!
Good point
If I wanna sit at a bar and watch a football game, I can just to straight to a sports bar and save $80.
Agreed. There are people out there though that want to spent a ton of money to just be at a bar at a game.
How about T Mobile Park
I am going back up there in July and will do a video after.
Go Aztecs!
Hopefully they will have a better year next year.
Not small for the mwc
It is still 7th in the conference though.
It would make a great usfl/xfl stadium.
It definitely would. Maybe in the future it will be.
Could've been perfect for an XFL team.

Maybe in the future.
Love these comments… Aztecs who??
Maybe next year or so if XFL decided to expand
I agree. It would make perfect sense for that.
It's nice, but it looks incomplete.
Thank you, does the stadium or the video look incomplete?
No video was great
