Back in the day I hung out a few times with Pat. Carb day was one of those times. Parking at Sorgi's place, Pat sporting perfect sombrero for the day.. Not long after we arrived behind the pagoda, Pat's fan club surrounded him with beer bong in hand. The music and crowd was loud, jello shots flying Allegedly and unbeknownst to most, Pat lifted the beer bong at the start of the national anthem. Pat had no clue because of all the cheering around him. Pretty sure he set a personal best chug time on that one.

Pat is so right when he says that when an entire bar realizes that you can really chug, you're gonna have to sacrifice your entire night. You won't remember any of it, but it will be legendary for your friends. As a fellow chugger, I have made that sacrifice and it is glorious (except for the next day).
I can go toe to toe with anyone on chugging stories (obviously as they are told back to me by my friends).

As a huge Michigan/Patriots fan I've heard many amazing stories about Brady's ability to chug beer back in the day. He's so competitive teammates say he refused to lose at anything. Would beat the O-line boys which is lil embarrassing for them

Managing a college bar in my 20s, I had a bartender who could chug, Man Show dude level fast. He'd bet patrons "I can drink two before your drink one, but if you lose, you're buying all three pints." One day a jogger happened by while we were on the porch, and we challenged him "Bet you 40 bucks my man here can drink a 40 faster than you can run a 40." Jogger heard us out, and said no. 20 minutes later he's been thinking about it, and comes back and asks if the bet is still available. We say sure, chalk out 40 yards on the sidewalk, put the Chugger at the end with 40 oz of beer in a pitcher, and set it off. Jogger ran a decent 40, not NFL, but not Rich Eisen speed either, high 5s/low6s probably, and lost by half a step.

Years ago whike slovenly intoxicated I was a participant in a chugging competition drinking cans of Foster's Lager shotgun style. After several rounds feeling good as the numbers dwindled someone punched a hole in a Pepsi can and handed it to me. Thinking it was a beer I chugged that soda then suddenly collapsed to my knees clutching my chest thinking my heart was going to explode. I quit chugging that night.
