Great interview - Glenn comes across as such a genuine guy on the BD show and this interview confirms that he is. Fascinating listening about how he went for a big career change at 40 - most people have well and truly got trapped in their personal rut by 40 and then don’t have the guts to change. Good on him!
Thank you for the podcast with Captain Glenn, it confirmed that he is the same as in the Below Deck series, cool, calm and collective, genuinely a kind and very knowledgeable skipper
Another enjoyable podcast Andy. I was pleasantly surprised with Glenn having only glimpsed a couple of below deck episodes you have enabled him to prove himself as a nice guy and very capable captain.
Captain Glenn is a great captain , and I’m full of respect for him, because be with a new crew and new guests all the time. It’s must be some shit sometimes. And sometimes i wonder why he doesn’t throw everybody overboard. He is truly a professional. And stay so cool with guests .
Great interview Andy. Glenn is very well spoken and such a likable guy. I can only imagine all of the great stories he will have to share during your sailing festival.
Thanks captain Glenn, I enjoyed your BD series very much. My husband and I left Dana Point in 2009 on a Freedom 38 , sailed to Florida and sold the sailboat in Florida and bought a Nordhavn 40 started cruising for the next 7 years going through the Panama Canal up the East Coast and eventually back to Dana Point California. So cruising on a Nordhavn is just fantastic!
Hello dear fan…thank you so much for the love and support on here..I really appreciate a whole lot.. Where do you aswell write to me from? Keep watching out for my newest post….
Great pod cast super interesting. Our daughter has just started in the super yacht industry having completed her UKSA Super Yacht Cadetship and degree in Operational Yacht Science. Finding it tough for a female deckhand, 1st mate on an Oyster 82 but left for many safety issues, after sailing from The Hamble, UK to Corfu, Greece. Now delivering a brand new Swan 78 from Finland to Norway, then down to the Mediterranean (loving that job). She would love to work for Captain Glen on Parsifal III, but not on the TV show!
@44:57 Crew, I'm focused like a laser beam on the performance between a Lagoon 50, the FP Saba 50, and a Lagoon 52 F. Three boats going in the same direction so... Bali, meh... I would relish the chance to sail each of them if you'll let me on board. Otherwise me, Colin, and Parley 2 are going to stomp some butt. :)
Glenn, I was originally on your Lagoon 52 for the Odysee flotialla but got transfered to Colin's. I'd greatly appreciate a discussion like this over a game or two of chess. Let me know if that sounds fun. -Geoff
@25:03 The engine controls need to do something better than a high-pitched scream when you shut them off intentionally. Maybe a sultry female voice saying "you're free". ;)
@@OceanCruisers I believe EU had pressured both Montenegro and Albania for this change. Actually, as it seems, there is a significant loss of superyacht calls at Montenegro. I do not have first hand information for Albania.
If I could do my life over I’d make sure to do a lot of sailing. So sad to have the money to do it when you are too old to do it. Life is funny that way.
Fantastic chat , no egos , non superficial, just 2 humbled humans
cheers mate, appreciate that 👍

She is loving the brand new, from the factory, Swan 78 in 30 knots
@@OceanCruiserswhen you guys get to Greece give us a shout. We are wintering in Greece on the hook ….. free living and we know where to hide
Yeah it doesnt get better than a Swan 78!

Nice chat❤
but the bell sound to subscribe is irritating and way too loud!
@24:56 The journey is the destination.

@39:08 "I was 41 as my first deck hand position" You just lit a freaking fire under my ass Glenn!"

Love Glenn. How he gets any sleep though.

No more duty free in Albenia to my knowledge😢 Only in Turkey and Tunis..
thats already been implemented?
@@OceanCruisers That’s what I know, alongside with Montenegro, Albania also ceased supplying duty free fuel..
well i suppose its how they make money!
