There's an incredible clip from 100 Flowers' last show, at the Anticlub, where D. and Keith Morris basically storm the stage and start dancing next to the band in an absolute frenzy, compelled to do so by the power of the music. That's who D. Boon was. He loved what he did, truly and deeply. The music flowed through him and out of him in an unstoppable fashion. And the songs fell out of him, one after another, at a genuinely astounding rate. I'm sure if he hadn't been taken from the world prematurely, he and Watt and George would still be churning out amazing albums to this day. At the end of the day, I'm just grateful that the rest of us still get to enjoy a taste of what this unique and incredible man was all about.
Did you know that you made this comment on the anniversary of the birth of D. Boon? Glad that you were so thrilled ~ Check out the rest of this amazing show on my channel! Cheers!
When the drummer gets out from behind his kit to mosh on-stage with his bandmates mid-song/between songs and even to bark into the vocal mic, you don't need any other evidence to know that they were in the midst of a killer good show!
@ciaobella65 Must've been great to see them at that club. I can still remember descending those stairs like it was yesterday! Glad you liked the footage. Cheers!
Make sure to check out the entirety of the gig in three parts, elsewhere on my channel. Glad you have found this and found it inspirational! Long live D. Boon and The Minutemen!
Please check out the rest of the show throughout my channel. Initially I was only able to post a song or two, then I was eventually able to post the whole show in three separate videos. Enjoy!
Glad you enjoyed (please check through channel to find the whole gig uploaded in 3 sections as well as individual songs as well). Hope you get to meet him sometime. Very real dude. Cheers!
@fodtv23 ...and by the next time they played Philly I wouldn't have blamed them for wishing no one ever did! It was sadly beautiful to see the patience and spirit of D. Boon weathering the storm of attention hounds on the tiny stage who kept on smacking his guitar out of tune. He never looked pissed off once! Cheers, 'young' lad!
@matthashotcakes Glad you found it! Feel free to check out the rest of the gig in 3 parts or in individual songs, both within my playlist on my channel. Cheers!
Yes, thank you hardcore historian! I've gone back and changed every other one of the videos from this show which I took the time and energy to share with the world. They all say 1983 now, which is really the important thing when you think about it! Hope you'll be able to sleep better tonight. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused your life!! 🤣
@PAULisDEADMANnumber9 Glad you came back to check it out #9! If you check through my channel you'll find all of the gig. They were for real and definitely a lot of fun. Cheers!
This is sick. I cannot imagine many bands either having this much fun or being this vulnerable on stage.
ROAsXe Unfazed by it too! Movin' it!
You can't imagine because you're cursed to being a Millenial.
@@Blackadder153 Stop this "Millenial vs. Gen X" bullshit, please...
