Utilize shade. By having some shade towards the back hair and fading back slowly to white as the hair gets farther away from the "camera" will give the effect of white hair, use blues and pinks for colorful shading.

I’d recommend shading normally using a different layer and then using alpha lock to color the shading to match the hair colors.
