nice and tight 👍 thanks for posting 🙏
Ayo broski! Thank you so much for the video and tutorial. I`ve never known how to export particles to make my projects detailed.
Glad to be of service!
finally its starting to make sense! LOL If we could get a full breakdown on how to import animated sequences with proper scale. Then import the VDB from embergen BACK INTO BLENDER in the proper position and scale. We could all finally start killing Houdini with this thing.
I'll see what I can do, sure!
@@crypt0sFX thanks so much bro I’ll be on the lookout. As I’m currently learning like 5 different programs for short films on my channel. And any tutorials like this are extreme time savers!👍👍🙏🏾🙏🏾
@@Trollmaggedon Hey man, if you still have issue with this, VDB export has a transform input to export it in the same position. apologies for the late response.
Great video, very helpful thank you 👍
You're welcome!
The particle workflow you showed does not work with eevee. The particles do not render at all. Any workarounds or am I doing something wrong? Thank you.
Yes, that's a blender issue, I'm pretty sure. Only cycles supports it as far as I know.
Thank you very much for this life-saving tutorial. I have an important question; at minute 5:36, I have an issue. I would like to keep 'Eevee' as the rendering engine, but when I do that, nothing appears. Could you help me with this? I would be grateful.
Unless the geometry nodes don't transfer to eevee, I don't see why it would be different. There could be a eevee material node maybe? Are your particles black or just not there at all?
@@crypt0sFX For a somewhat peculiar project, I need it to be rendered in Eevee. Unfortunately, I'm not very experienced with nodes, so your tutorial is gold for me. However, when I use Eevee and your method, everything disappears in the preview 😭. The particles exist, and I can click on them, but they are "invisible."
@MattiaBioli When I try it in eevee, blender tells me that "the active render engine does not have an alembic procedural." This message is located in your modifier tab>mesh sequence cache>Render procedural.
I don't know if that's the actual problem, though. Sorry, I'm not able to be of much help as I'm also not familiar with geometry nodes.
I tried to render my animation and blender just crashes (is it because the amount of particles?), even if I try to render just a image it crashes aswell :/
It could be too intensive for Blender or your pc to handle. Try it again but lower the amount of particles.
@@crypt0sFX I just closed Embergen while rendering in Blender and that worked for me. I think it was because of my memory even though I have 64 gb. I use a 7950x / 7900 xtx aswell. Thanks for the tutorial and ur help!
love this, thanks man!
Thanks bro!! Really helps
You're very welcome!
The thumbnail looks exactly like matt aspland's thumbnail style
lol thanks
nice video bro , do you know if motion blur is working with geometry nodes , if so why i cant see it ?
I'm not sure. As long as you have it enabled in Blender or have a vector pass, should be no different than a regular render.
I've enable it but ill try vector pass , thanks @@crypt0sFX
Thank you so much for posting this brother, so many people made this process so much harder to follow including EmberGen themselves. How could you skip portions of the VDB import process on open source software like Blender is beyond me! We appreciate you!
Thank you, sir! Happy to help!
Great video thank you! Wasn't working then I realised I needed to be in Cycles and not Eevee. Wish this stuff would work in Eevee.
Very good, thank you!
Amazing bro 🤞
When I try to export my particle simulation in EmberGen I always get a bunch of alembic files instead of just one with the whole sequence. Does anyone know how I can avoid that?
That's how it is. It will save the frame range in multiple files as a sequence in the designated folder.
