I’ve always been curious, do teams help you pay for a car, apartment, living expenses etc? Or is that all factored into your contract and decisions you make when you are deciding which team to play with? I love this inside look, thanks Erik!! Been following you since your Stanford days :)
thanks for watching! so it all depends on your contract...but in general teams will pay for your apartment and car (not gas). but again it all depends on the team and contract.

I wish Volleyball had more male representation ( like Erik ) , because it is an absolutely amazing sport , and I think it would stop the cancellation of current D1 - JUCO Men’s Volleyball teams , and maybe give encouragement to many Athletic Directors to start more , and maybe open up more clubs or professional leagues within the United States !
Wooooo! Just like I said last vlog, SUCH a cool window into a world we never get to see. So interesting to see the highs and lows that come with a game day, and super cool to see all of these monster athletes (that includes Erik) just hanging out casually and being humans, because of course they are and they should be! I love how good-natured all of your teammates were on camera as well. I also love that low camera court view, like where the camera is at eye level of someone standing on the game floor. Really shows how fast the ball is going and how high these guys can hit from. I much prefer that angle to the TV high side-court camera. Plus a win (congrats) and we even got to watch the little post-victory jump huddle thing! Love it.

For God's sake when I saw the match I was soo scared cuz Kliuka is very strong but during the match the way that you turned the score in your favour was insane! Great indeed! And this video was soo funny like OMG!!! Ahhahahahah Volkov and you Erik were extremly funny😂😂 and great video👏👏👍✌

Hey Erik, I am an senior in highschool and am playing my first season of volleyball, I am the setter and captain of the team. I know you aren’t captain, but you have been playing for a long time. What are things I can do as a captain to make the team excel?
I am no professional like Erik, but as a player I can tell you what I wish my captains would do. Hype your teammates up as a captain, the more excited and confident they are the better they will perform. As a setter, be the control tower of the team. The offense is all yours to command. It seems like a lot of pressure, but if your teammates can put their trust in you then the team will accel as a whole. And you don't need to do anything flashy to be a good setter; it's better to do 25 good sets than 5 fantastic sets. Good luck!
@@ethanbursey3522 I totally agree. I'm not the cap of my team but it's always me who hypes them up, and I think its important, because if we start to lower the level once, there is no coming back. Be the loudest, lead them to the best attacks you can possibly set, and you'll be fine. Good luck. 🥰
