Every shot after a long silence makes me jump due to being tense. With another person I am much calmer, even if I don't do amazing. I also love your idea of keeping the enemy ignorant of the fact that you are actually a duo, it would take so many off guard and create some awesome pincer movements.
Swarm509 I feel the same in solo, except worrying about every angle, sounds, and assessing danger constantly is very good. As yes, I am more lax in groups but more often than not. A single mistake by a group member can get the whole squad killed or start blue on blue. I know for a fact every time I play with people I’m losing roubles. Maybe I just haven’t found a good team yet lol.
18:28 the curse of holding angles, it feels like as soon as you yawn, rub your eyes or otherwise divert your attention from the angle thats exactly when the enemy decides to poke their head out. Props on still coming out on top in the scenario though.

Nice video man! You asked for more teamwork info.. The biggest thing for me was knowing where my teammate is at at all times. One of the biggest problems I was having was walking somewhere thinking everyone is behind me and when I looked back, I was completely alone. Now, we always assign a pointman and a tail. The tail spends most of their time looking backwards and to either left or right. The pointman is focused on navigation, eyes mostly straight ahead, with some occasional flank coverage. The best way to know where your teammate is without looking at them is by footsteps - whenever my teammates footsteps get too quiet or far, i slow my pace and wait for them to either catch up or provide intel on where they are - always keep your gun forward while moving and trust your teammate has your back. After we started doing this our survivability rating increased significantly.
That push on the second rock at double rock was risky. Had me puckered. But it played out fine, so all is well. I think it's advantageous to play duos with someone not of your play style. I prefer a slow, sneaky play, avoiding pulling the trigger unless I have too. I prefer to play with people who will push, because we can have different inputs on a situation like the one you had there in woods.
Yeah, I got one of my friends to come play along, and playing as a duo turns it from a survival horror into a buddy comedy for us :D Solid communications and cracking jokes always carries the day. That and having someone there to talk you through the raid (after he dies) is always a bonus!
Good info here, with over thousands of hours on competitive shooters like CS and military sims like ARMA, i found myself nodding my head to the stuff said quite a lot. It was almost strange hearing Krashed refer to his duo as 'Hot and Cold'. It's the exact same with my own teammate. I like to push aggressively, from years as an entry fragger at high ranks in CSGO rubbing off on me, and my mate who's real good with his angles and waiting game. I wear heavy gear and play the raging bull attracting attention and charging down PMCs while he makes sure no one domes my crazy ass. Works incredibly well, surprisingly enough lol
Another well done guide! Didnt expect nothing less from @krashed! An aditional advice for new players that are goin for duos, is you wanna try run same caliber weapon so u can share mags and ammunition if needed.
For the love of god call out your location. I've shot at my friends too many times after they've told me they're in the same spot 5 times in a row and then they decide to round my corner without telling me.

Another great video mate. One thing I'll add is map knowledge. I too play either solo or in a duo, and our coms are always kept to as few words as possible. We still give each other as much info as possible, but keep the chatter down until we know we are safe. For an example, in labs: I ask "where are you" He says "inside funny, maging" That probably sounds silly to most, but to me I know in 3 words where he is (inside the room that needs the black key card, with the funny airlock) and what he's doing (filling his mags up) so as I regroup with him, I know anything I come across on my way there is KOS. We don't have to hesitate with "is that you?" There's plenty of maps with the buildings labeled on the wiki to study, and your own experiences as a group will give certain things unique names like our funny room haha :D

Check out the tarkov wiki, they have pages for each of the maps with the best community made maps including call outs i have ever seen. Highly recommend checking them out. My buddy said he heard someone to his right on the stairwell. I absentmindedly told him to please kill the guy while I was healing. Is there a reason not to run white ? Me and my buddies are running white atm but we are all quite unexperienced players and we do die very often even when we outnumber enemies...
@ Hi! As I understand it, when it was explained to me, is that the human eye is attracted to lighter colors and is more likely to notice something lighter, such as white or yellow. The eye is more likely to pass over the darker green, red, and blue arm bands, even if they're inconsistent with the surrounding terrain. Another small tip, always always always wear a face cover, even the humble balaklava from Ragman lvl 1. Even though it's a lighter color, it's much better than running around with our bright pink heads. At Ragman 2, you can get a much darker grey facemask thats even better. Be sure to wear dark glasses with either one so it covers up the eye holes. It doesn't seem like much but little things add up over a long time and many raids. And I know it's anecdotal, but I've personally spied people hiding in bushes or foliage because of the easy to see skin color. I can't give much advice on your combat capabilities but one thing I suggest is hoping onto offline and fighting scavs. Scavs don't play much like humans do but it's still valuable combat experience. Recoil control, cover, when to medicate/heal up, when and how to properly fall back, and when things inevitably get FUBARed, it's good practice for dealing with bad situations. Helps develop good muscle memory for combat. Also, do duo scav runs together and if you don't spawn with something extremely valauble, go pick fights with PMCs if you have half decent weapons. Practice sneaking up on people. Work on callouts. Learn the weapons and terrain of the area. It's free gear. You've got nothing to lose! Best of luck to you two!
Some useful notes here; 1. Shout "COMMS!" when you want to hear no bullshit around you so that you don't have to shush your friends. Better to call out more than less. 2. When playing duos make sure not to engage in a building by going into the place at the same exact enterance. 3. If there is no time for callouts before engaging with an enemy, make sure to do your callouts whilst engaging. Also again, make sure not to attack from one position, tell your partner to flank. They can also flank in the "normal fast pace movement" option (they don't have to sneak a lot, just walk) 4. When you start attacking make sure not to stay at one place with your partner. Flank as much as possible when the enemy thinks there's only one shooter Good luck Escapers!
Great points but your map callouts need major work. One of the ways to do this is to wander around the map with your duo mate agreeing on names for things. A good example is dorms at the start of the video. Callout for my duos and squads would be "2 story dorm, upstairs metal stair entrance" rather than confusing your mate by sating "side door" positive confirmation is essential. We actively teach new player on our discord the callouts for areas so they understand where we are.
You're right my callout in that moment is not the best. But remember that I've been playing with Moist for a VERY long time and he knows my playstyle very well. This puts a little less pressure on making the 'perfect' call out. He knows I never go around the back because metal stairs will make a lot of noise, and from that side you can ONLY enter the middle floor. This limits my options tremendously and anyone who hears metal from that side will know exactly where you're coming from
Lead by example. You should be honored people will give you that amount of time to get lectured on a video game. You want people to be on your page, be on it yourself. Lead from the Front. Players will follow good examples, show them how with your own gameplay and communication. Show them it's cool to be one of the guys who "gets it"... Pisses me off to see this kind of hard core criticism from some nerd, and that is coming from a guy who was the training instructor for my Arma 3 group, and played about 3k hours of open world pvp as a sort of fireteam leader. Games are meant to be fun, but we also play to win, because losing damn sure isn't as fun as winning. I see your point though, I would say something like "south side door of the 3 story", but see, unlike you I offered a solution to the problem you identified. By the way, that was 3 story in the video, not the "upstairs 2 story"/ whatever. It was south side 3 story first floor....I gave you a lot in this comment - rules to know and play by. Remember these as you go about your games "teaching" players, you are never done learning - even if you are a teacher.

I started playing tarkov with my friend. It’s always fun when one of us dies, I am angry and friend is laughing how I died and after 2 min. he get killed and I laugh at him
IR laser, full explanation/breakdown/testing can be found in the Lasers ''why you should always run them'' vid on the channel. Green thumbnail- hard to miss :)
It is the rule of Tarkov, the second you stop looking the enemy will appear. I was honestly expecting them to show up during the mag check he did on the stairs, but him moving into the side room is probably what made them move up stairs (expecting a solo player). In many ways they did what Krashed said what not to try and do, pile up together in the same spot. One of those guys could of gone out and around (if I recall with that building) and probably caught them out.
You do much more than just duo? Me and my buddy work similar to how you operate with Moist there. However our 3rd guy is a bit of a loot jew and even when we tell him specific things like "hey dno't loot yet, we need to clear" he'll go prone on a body while the 2 of us are trying to clear. We've recently tried doing 4 and 5 mans and for me, it takes too much brain processing power to maintain the whereabouts of 4 other members without friendly fire, I can really only handle 2 other players. I had the thought of maybe splitting off into 2 individual "fire teams" and keeping distance, but the comms can get messy when one team takes contact. Any thoughts?
Chemistry. Fireteam Chemistry. You will have it with some people, and you won't with others. You can't fake it, but you can make it. Play a faster game like Warzone for example with people who you enjoy playing with. You will start to learn about them, and they can learn about you. More time in tense battles will calm everyone down. If you easily fill a four or five man, well, quality over quantity. You can't fake it, remember. Stick the loot goblin on you, make him help clear the rooms, let him loot the good stuff when it's safe. If he won't listen, don't play with him. Simple. You might find two guys who work well together, you can try split looting on raids, just pair them up together. Communication might get a little messy after a few minutes though, so again, brief, debrief, and work on keeping chatter to a minimum in big groups.
As Krashed said join his discord or many others like it online. My first group games in Tarkov was with total strangers in a random Tarkov discord, just be realistic with them, willing to learn, and keep the banter up and most people will be happy to play with you. You may not always jive with another play style so keep playing till you find the perfect group.
ive tried brining several friends into this game, but they dont fancy the straight vertical learning curve, and after dying about 10 times as pmcs in a row you wouldnt blame them for quitting. definitely a very niche game.
Play to each other's strengths. One of my friends is great with strategy, angles, game knowledge and all that, but in a firefight his brain overloads and he basically can't talk. Meanwhile I have N-thousand hours of TF2, League, CSGO, Overwatch, etc., so once a fight starts I become the shotcaller and just tell him what to do. Took us a bit to figure it out but works great!
For some reason my dumbass can't find words when making callouts. Ill know what an enemy's doing, but I can't tell my team what's happening because my brain can't spit out the words "cament wall" or something lol

Perfect callouts are when you can visualize where each one is by only listening to this vid (providing you know the map well)
Why there is like a... Red flashlight? You can see it very good in dorms
It's infra red. You can see it a lot clearer if you have IR goggles or scope. There is also IR lasers
IR laser, full explanation/breakdown/testing can be found in the Lasers ''why you should always run them'' vid on the channel. Green thumbnail- hard to miss :)
Thanks for the answers.
I know the other video.
But I never saw this red circle when I play bymyself, that's why I was confused 😁👍
What is his graphics and post fix settings ?
That last clip is a lot like my usual squad experience lol
You had 1 job on the Reserve! *Cries moist tears*
If only I had friends to play with ;(
Come join our discord mate, link in description :)
pie843 I might join the discord too! Would be fun to link up with some others for duos.
I’ll meet you there mike!
As Krashed said join his discord or many others like it online. My first group games in Tarkov was with total strangers in a random Tarkov discord, just be realistic with them, willing to learn, and keep the banter up and most people will be happy to play with you. You may not always jive with another play style so keep playing till you find the perfect group.
pie843 I just joined! My name in discord is ‘mike fundamental’. Might see you around!
Just stopped playing with a guy that could really, really benefit from this video.
ive tried brining several friends into this game, but they dont fancy the straight vertical learning curve, and after dying about 10 times as pmcs in a row you wouldnt blame them for quitting. definitely a very niche game.
MOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Play to each other's strengths. One of my friends is great with strategy, angles, game knowledge and all that, but in a firefight his brain overloads and he basically can't talk. Meanwhile I have N-thousand hours of TF2, League, CSGO, Overwatch, etc., so once a fight starts I become the shotcaller and just tell him what to do. Took us a bit to figure it out but works great!
Good video
For some reason my dumbass can't find words when making callouts. Ill know what an enemy's doing, but I can't tell my team what's happening because my brain can't spit out the words "cament wall" or something lol
"If u wanna go fast, go alone, if u wanna go far, go togheter"...
Gotta go fast
Maybe Essence will stop sending bullets my way after this video.
OMG THANK U SM
held
My duo shot me in the head because I spawned next to him btw we were in a party
fuck my duo has 10k hours and is still under level 5 @uxiefnbr
Algorithm
I am level 14 and yesterday I learned about cheats and radar and aimbot and shit. This fucking ruins the game. So sad.
