Have you been looking for a good, easy to see and use outdoor laser measuring tool for outdoor projects? Then this laser measuring meter I found is the answer to what you have been looking for. A laser measuring tool with a built in camera so you can easily see the laser even outdoors on a bright sunny day. I'll demonstrate how easy it is to use in the video.
Great review. I just ordered one for myself. Read in the marketing literature that this is able to store 100 "screenshots", apart from 1000 measurements. May I ask how we take the screenshots, please?
Does this tool have the ability to use an offset in the distance measurement (not just add/subtract)? Using a fixed offset is critical for my use in outdoor sporting events.
That is great. They dont mention it in their tiny one page manual. I re-watched your video, but did not pick up any mention of being able to enter an offset for distance measurements. I have tried to contact them, but have not head back. I contacted Bosch, and none of their units have that simple ability. The only unit that i know for sure that has the ability to offset distance is the Leica Distro line $$$.@@ModernDIYProjects
I want to use such a device with a plastic corner-cube reflector plate, which reflects THOUSANDS as much back in the direction of the emitter than a white paper-like surface. (See Lambertian reflector.) I want to measure 500, 1000, 2000 meters, with a resolution of 1 millimeter . Problem is, I don't think the device will 'wait for' such a delayed reflection, even when it arrives late.
After I made the video I found out that the names are interchangeable. It's an internal company thing. They brand it as S20 but then the item says S7. Go figure.
If you compare a high end Bosh that has the same features to this one I would still recommend this one. It is cheaper thus a better value. These things are all electronics inside so very little to go wrong with them. With Bosh you are paying for the brand.

Not shown or mentioned anywhere, but the S7 DOES have a socket for tripod screw mount.
Great vid. May i suggest that point to point measures are more accurate when done on a tripod. So the laser pivots off the same point
He said that in the video...

Yes it does. I thought I mentioned that in the video.

Does it measure in meters?
Yes 🎉
Does it let you save the photos the way that the Bosch Blaze does?
Yes and download them also
is this laser bright enough to measure outdoors? Had a D9 pro but sadly it seems like that is only for indoors
He talked about that in the video. The answer was YES
Your title says S20 but the review is for s7.
Are they the same thing?

Exactly. I have no idea what he's reviewing. The links are wrong. The description's wrong. I'm completely lost on this one
Better than the high end Bosch?

but maybe Bosch has better warranty ? Or more experience with pro tools?@@ModernDIYProjects
How about sq/f ?
Does that also. Must go through the menu to find it.
@ Thanks
Am I to assume this doesn't do fractions?
It does. You have to set it up in the control panel.
Show demo
I did. Maybe you should watch the video ALL the way through.
Rechargeable batteries go bad all the time.
And alkaline batteries wear out all the time, so what alternative do you have?
