    Mate, can't thank you enough. Just finished replacing the brushes on my Beko after it started sparking. This is how youtube should be, no nonsense, just show how to do it and get on with it. You've saved me £100s, you are a true hero 👍🏻

      Thank you very much, your praise is very much appreciated although I’m not sure I’m a hero 😁. I do try to explain exactly the process when I make a video making sure all the steps needed are there. It is annoying if a critical part is missed. Very pleased you got the job done and it saved you money. 👍🙂

    Just one correction - the cables are not hard to pull off at all, but you need to press on the little lever that unlocks the little hooking mechanism. PS: Great video, thanks for sharing!

    My machine fills and drains fine but doesn't spin. Do you think this is the problem before i go dismantling my washer 🤣 googled it and the motor brushes seem the most likely culprit

      Hi joe, if the drum doesn’t spin at all the belt may be the issue. If you remove the top panel lid (should just be a couple of screw at the back) you can check the belt to see if it’s broken. Hope this helps. 🙂👍

    Hi, The motor on my model is sealed. No brushes evident..I take it this will be a complete replacement? Is there a continuity test I can do between connectors?

      Hi Nick, sorry I haven’t replied to you before now. It sounds like yours is a newer model and has brushless motor. I am not an expert on these so can’t really help, if you haven’t already try searching on UA-cam for checking a washing machine brushless motor. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

    So my beko model WMB71543W was working fine, now it doesn't fill with water properly and doesn't spin at all. It will still spray water into the drawer and it will still drain, just not filling properly or spinning. Do you think this is the same problem?

    • @EverydayWorkshop
      @EverydayWorkshop  10 місяців тому

      Hi Andrew, it may well be. If it’s fairly old machine and has done a lot of work it is very likely. Have you checked the drive belt, if it has broken the drum won’t spin, but you should hear the motor running. Hope this helps and you get it sorted. 🙂👍

      Hi, I have a beko washing machine and it's stopped spinning. It fills and drains okay. Checked belt and that's okay, do you think the motor is caput or the bushes could need replacing?

    • @cardinalsin6313

      @@tinklefluffypig Take the motor out and have a look at the brushes. I have just replaced mine and one brush was worn down that much it wasn't even touching the commutator. (The other brush was fine)
      When the brushes go the machine will display error 18 as I found out

    Hello i have a question im trying to replace my brushes but the new ones i bought are still hiding in the metal casing how do i get them to spring up?

    • @EverydayWorkshop
      @EverydayWorkshop  11 місяців тому

      Hi, to honest I’m not sure why yours are stuck in the ones I used were not. I’m sure there must be a retaining pin or similar holding them in place. Sorry I can’t help more.

      Just had a look at my video to remind myself, there is a small tab part way along the metal body. I think this is holding it, it will just need prising up to release the brush. Hope this helps. 🙂👍
