this has to be the best UA-cam comment I have read in my years. PERIOD.
That riff loop is the essence of love made into music more so than any other song I've ever heard. The sweetest perfume, the happiest memories, all the times I was hopelessly lost in love - if you took those experiences and made them into a single tune that would be it. It just triggers the greatest feeling in the world.

No shit it's from BTW. Most people say BSSM is the best album, thus has the best songs. But this song, to me, is he best song they've ever made. Even if they made a better song or album than BSSM or BTW, this song would still be my favorite.
I wouldn't say 'most people'. A good chunk of fans consider BSSM to be in the top 3, true. For me it's 4th behind SA, BTW, CALI!

Possibly my fave Peppers song, Frusicantes parts have a beautiful sadness to them.
This song has only been preformed twice live. My mom got to see one of those two times. It’s a hard song for John because of what’s it’s about. I’m sure it’s a difficult situation to be in but my mom said he got really emotional when playing it
Josh tryed too here in Brazil, but not so good
I don't think that's the reason why it's not played. It's because there's several guitar parts played simultaneously on the album. Hard to recreate live without more guitar players.

Love this song the peppers are my #1, since I was 13, had first heard the song, get up and jump, I saw flea and anthony on some cheesy TV show, in the day time and was immediately taken, could feel, the energy it was real, I last saw them in Boston on the stadium stadium show I was at both shows both times in front of fusciante, seeing them up close was like seeing real life gods doing their thing they were right on, both nights, the energy was still there even more so, I'm 50 now, and the only thing that excites me right now is the fact that fusciante is back, and they are working on a new album, I've never been disappointed by a peppers album, Keith's and fusciante writing together again, only magic will come from that.

Johns voice is so good in this, wish they would have used his voice more. That being said Johns voice shouldn’t ever be compared to Anthony’s. Anthony has one hell of a voice.
Oliver Mace Anthony just trained himself to sing. As a singer he’s garbage. He fits perfectly with the band and style but his voice is below average for most popular groups and I’m a huge fan of his. He kind of reminds me of mick jagger, mick jagger had sub par vocals but man what a performer and character. Johns voice is better than Anthony’s Imo but John just wouldn’t have fit at lead. The band is perfect the way it is
Kyle Deming I agree, with you that Anthony doesn’t have the greatest voice compared to other lead singers of his era (Staley, Cornell, Vedder) but at the same token. He has a very Unique voice and doesn’t try to mock any other person. Anthony has an amazing voice in my opinion. But I can definitely agree with you that his voice isn’t super stand out-ish
Oliver Mace ya he fits perfectly with this group tho and on top of that he’s a fantastic showman. Exactly how mick jagger was. Neither would make it past the first round on the voice or any of those shows but they both have unique voices that fit with their bands and are excellent showman.
