I’m glad I watched until the end because at the beginning I was doing a whole lot of side eying my brother. However, everyone’s story will not be the same. This was their story and there are some things that can be gleaned from it. May God’s will ever be done in their life.

This was SO good!!! The wisdom that was dropped was powerful! This isn’t like many of the testimonies I’ve watched in meetings the spouse. This was real!!! I also don't understand the "just friends" part. Did she like him and tell him which provoked him to say that they were just friends? It seemed evident (at first at least) that he wasn't giving hints that he liked her. Where did that part come along? Why was he coming to her house and spending so much time together etc.? I don't get it. Or did he tell her that he liked her but they were friends and that he was gathering data? Maybe I missed it.

The Story started out nicely with a few Grms.. but I couldn't finish watching it, because SHE talks over him or cut him off. I wanted to get his side and how he saw their union a bit more,, but she just kept talking over him🥴
They have a lot of wisdom collectively, and he does share a lot of gems as well. I pray you are able to finish. Something you need might be hidden in what you have not yet seen.

There definitely were some gems in this conversation like not romanticizing someone too early on just because they talk a good game. However, I also found some things questionable. I could never be with a man who intentionally denied me affection to teach me a lesson. It sounds like he still need to do some work after his divorce, and should have been in therapy instead of dating.

Exactly!!! He’s the type I stay I far away from. He’s jaded from his past failed marriage and here is his wife rationalizing his cruel behavior. I hope she is actually HAPPY now because this man put her through the ringer in order for her to be his wife. SMH

Worried, marriage and life generally is not drama and i feel someone is acting. They need to relax and allow themselves to love and grow and not manipulative .
I looked at him denying her affection as a man with self discipline . A man that did not awaken love before its appointed time.
What bro is saying is exactly what I told this young lady I recently started talking to. She said it reminded her of this video she saw and sent me this. I’m blown away that somebody else actually went thru this. I really thought I was the only one on this path and that no one would understand.

This was such a different aspect of testimony of coming into God's will when it comes to , friendship,dating,courting and marriage. It was hard truths and less flowers and daisys...I appreciated this...especially for me who tends to over romantise my ideal courtship/husband/marriage dreams. Glory be to Jesus.

I thoroughly enjoyed this love story. I resonated with how they met and how their love matured. There’s something to
appreciate in a situation that is led by reality. We love to say that we have all been through things but we rarely accept or have the patience to truly understand that statement.
I struggled with patience as well because I believed that love looked the way it is often portrayed in movies. Meeting a man like this was my true test
to “becoming the woman I believed God wanted me to be.” I really loved this story! 👏🏾👏🏾

The story sounds sweet but I believe relationships come with challenges beyond trying to seek out perfectionism to seem qualified as a 'wife'. I'm not wrapping my head around the idea of a guy being my friend but I'm over his house and playing boyfriend and girlfriend. Using their example, If a man I'm dating cancels on me and I was looking forward to seeing him naturally I will feel frustrated especially depending on the context on the situation. Just because we react a certain way without disrespect but showing that you're hurt doesn't mean it disqualifies us as a potential partner. Couldn't finish the video because it sounds good but doesn't sit right with my spirit.
Thank you for stopping by. I beliebe God writes everyones story based upon what He intends for them. Not everyone could have been Joseph to what God called Mary to carry, many in that time thought he should leave her, I'm sure. Not everyone could have been Sarai before and after she became Sarah, and certainly the load of Ruth or even queen Esther. All that to say, not every relationship is going to look like the next, and it shouldn't because we are all different. I pray that there was some wisdom you were able to glean from this couple or even some of our other ones. Be blessed.

thanks for sharing the story. It seems as though God does new things all the time and each story is different. I saw the beauty in letting time and God prompting to lead the course of a relationship. No fairy tales because we aren't fairies, no hollywood drama because we aren't star actors but rather submission to God's guidance.
