So beautiful! In case your wondering, the illustration is of Icarus from Greek mythology. I liked that lyrical reference-"their only flying too close to the sun." Guitarist Brian May is such a beautiful but criminally underrated singer. This song truly showed that Freddie Mercury was really like a brother to them, not just their frontman. The looks on their faces, in their voices and in every note their sorrow is clear and were doing all they can to keep it together and not break down crying, (not that I'd blame them if they did). The champagne glass on the piano was in homage to Freddie who would toast his audiences with champagne sometimes during special gigs. Last year, Brian and his wife went on pilgrimage to Zanzibar, where Freddie was born to retrace his childhood steps and see his old house, his old school and even the hospital where Freddie and his sister were born. In case your wondering, bass player John Deacon took Freddie's death the hardest. After making this video and recording the song, John only participated in a Queen collaboration with Bejart- Ballet for life in honor of Freddie, who was a huge lover of Ballet and opera. After those projects, John retired from music and the public eye completely. While he's basically involved in the band's finances and he gave his blessing for the movie Bohemian Rhapsody to be made, he's basically a recluse. He never even really wanted to be a rock star from the get go. I highly recommend Freddie's last onscreen music video "These are the days of our lives."

@@andreamack7867 So did BM. He had chronic depression after FM's death (and was suicidal apparently). This is why 'No One But you' is one of my favourite Queen songs. It's very personal, and very well written

😂😂😂Freddie WAS THE PARTY! LOL. . He was a bit wild but he wasn't any wilder than any other Rockstar. Freddie Mercury was the most generous human being and even his former fiance and best friend for life, Mary Austin, said that he was a Treasurer and that is probably why everyone loved him so much. Mary said the longer she knew him there was always something inside of him like a treasure chest and she honestly believed that over time the fans came to see the same thing that she saw knowing him from 1969 up until his death in 1991. He never could love another person like he loved Mary. It's a sad love story, but most twin flame relationships are sad and heartbreaking.

Queen was the band I grew up listening to with my dad. I was heartbroken when my dad told me he had died and I realised I was never going to be able to watch him live.
Still cry about it today and I’m 35. Listening to them just brings back the sweetest memories of sitting next to my dad in the car and rocking out to Queen with him ❤️

Exactly how I feel every time I hear it ,so emotional ,bless you ,I think you need cheering up ,so can you please react to under pressure live at Wembley stadium London ,you will see Freddie's interaction with the crowd which he always did the crowd loved it ,you may recognise the baseline because vanilla ice stole it and didn't credit it to queen do he got sued but a brilliant live performance ,thanks stay safe from Liverpool UK x

If you want to know what Freddie was like in real life, look up the interview British singer Allison Moyet did about her performance at Live Aid. She was a relatively unknown artist at the time and wasn't sure about how the audience would receive her.
One of the very first artists she saw when entering Wembley Stadium was Freddie who blew her kisses and told her to "Knock 'em dead!" If such a rock legend is not only aware of who you are but so supportive of what you're doing, that MUST light a fire inside you.
Or the Spanish opera singer Montseratte Caballé, she stayed with Freddie and his Partner Jim to record the "Barcelona" album ad she described Freddie as the perfect gentleman, he made her feel comfortable, joked around with her and they became lifelong friends.
