I had always set in my mind that combining two songs into one is always a bad idea, I was wrong. Two of my favourite songs into one made a pure masterpiece.
Thanks you. Finally someone that gets it. 💕 It's so accurate. Sorry you have to experience it too. I mean, tu understand this well, you have to get how it feels like. I'm assuming you know. ❤💜
So relatable. When you're trying to focus on something, you get distracted and think of so many different things before actually getting back to what you were originally thinking about.
This video has a feeling that is unexplainable. Makes you really have flashbacks to the days of the trollface and popularmmos, which is strange, but this video has that type of nostalgia, not from the vaporwave (kind of) but it makes you think about every other thing you *used* to enjoy in life.
Considering Plastic Beach's themes and the actual story of the album, this mashup actually fits really well. "Breathing in the dark, lying on its side." You can take this as a reference to whales being washed up on shore and dying as a result, breathing since Whales are mammals and breath oxygen. "The ruins of the day, painted with a scar." One of the darkest aspects of Plastic Beach's lore is that Noodle, the emotional heart of the band members of Gorillaz, ended up "dying" in the music video for El Manana; and in Plastic Beach, the band disbanded out of horror and grief. However, she survived yet still carries the scars, which she covers with a mask. The El Manana music video began on a beautiful summer day. "Forgiving who you are, for what you stand to gain." Another aspect of Plastic Beach is 2-D and Murdoc's relationship being put to its breaking point as Murdoc kidnaps 2-D to the titular Plastic Beach in order to force him to make music again. Murdoc is obviously incredibly abusive, and 2-D's original love and loyalty towards his partner is strained. "Just know that if you hide, it doesn't go away." Plastic Beach's primary message is the environmental damage that Humans cause to the Earth, more specifically water pollution and over-fishing. Despite the poppy and light sound, it is arguably the darkest and most existential album Gorillaz has put out, with the album ending on a terrifying note in the song "Pirate Jet" which is basically a hopeless admission that the world is fucked. Murdoc tried to escape the world via Plastic Beach; but he was unable to. The World and the consequences of his actions via the Boogeyman still arrived to the Plastic Beach, ready to get even. Hell, the guy in the red gas mask that you're seeing? That's the Boogeyman, finally arriving on Murdoc's "sacred" new studio of trash and filth, ready to burn it all down. "When you get out of bed, don't end up stranded. Horrified, with each stone, on the stage..." When Murdoc found Plastic Beach, he had spray-painted it into a gaudy pink color in order to make it look more theatrical instead of the utter dump it actually was. Furthermore, 2-D was kidnapped via a sleeping gas, and when he woke up, he was stranded on Plastic Beach. "The engine's failed again, all limits of disguise." The first major single for Plastic Beach was Stylo, who's music video has Murdoc and 2-D in a car chase, all the while 2-D is covering himself with a clown mask. "The humor's not the same, coming from denial." Gorillaz lore had already been known for containing dark humor. But with just how grim Plastic Beach was; the humor, in universe, felt like an attempt to deny or at least soften just how utterly fucked the entire situation was, and just how *bad* things had gotten. *"My Little Dark Age."* Plastic Beach was easily the darkest point for everyone in the band: 2-D was kidnapped and being abused into insanity. Noodle, the youngest and the baby of the group, had survived a viscious attack on her life, but was clearly left traumatized and angry. Russel attempted suicide due to being haunted by demons, but mutated into a giant due to all the radiation, and is now wandering the ocean trying to reunite with the rest of his band. Murdoc becomes an utter monster, kidnapping and abusing 2-D while also incurring the wrath of a demon known as the Boogeyman, who haunts the band throughout Plastic Beach. Plastic Beach was the worst low that the band had ever felt, and despite being so monumental, didn't have much of an impact on the future, remaining as a small bubble saga. For the band, Plastic Beach was literally a Little Dark Age.
You also forgot to mention the importance of whales on the album. The fact that there's an actual whale placed by murdoc that terrorizes 2D, who has a fear of whales, which shows how bad the abuse was And also the fact that whales are generally connected with the environmental topic of the album concerning oceanic pollution, since the whale population is threatened by it
That is why I love music in all aspects, because they have such a it's weird to say.... But "beautiful" and deeper meaning into the piece. They're like a sound manifestation of our souls.
everyone has different vibes for this song it gives me a foggy forest that the deeper you venture into it the fog stays the same like a foggy bubble around you while you roam in the forest with a feeling of being watched
I think it would have been better had more of the choruses of little dark age played, only one ever played and i think it could have sounded way better if at least the final chorus had been used this song favors Rhinestone Eyes too heavily

Check out “Sucker is a completely original and non plagiarized song” it fucking SLAPS
Es una obra maestra cuando las dos canciones no suenan juntas porque sino suenan horrible
Most songs can be combined with another it just depends how you do it.
