Also, the fact that there was a gap of 6 years between schleudertrauma 2 and schleudertrauma 3, and the gap from schleudertrauma 3 to schleudertrauma 4 was 3 months and the gap from scleudertrauma 4 to 5 was 3 weeks is a testament to how much technology has improved.
I am not working on the project throughout. Especially the 6-year gap is based on Conona, o I have provided the computing power to various BOINC projects for corona research. Another point is the calculation of the next zoom target, which is already much faster thanks to special computing technology (keyword: Newton Raphson Zoom), but currently takes months (manual clicking would take thousands of years with the zoom). This is why they are always completed in "intervals".
Wow! How long did this take to render? What hardware was used? I wrote a Mandelbrot explorer app back in the 2000's for windows called "MandelPlot" but it used 64bit math, so I couldn't go too deep. I never released it :D
The pure calculation of the images took perhaps 1 month. The computer is an older Ryzen 9 3900x. The fact that it is possible to zoom so far is due to a special calculation method. I'm not sure exactly how, but there may be some clues in "www.fractalforums.org". Keywords: - series approximation - pertubation theory - biliniar approximation

Jeez, how deep will this zoom get? When will the final minibrot be?
Not yet decided. More variants of the "stars" are coming soon.
