I think his voice got better with age. A great singer can sing just as beautifully soft as loud. He was the whole package. RIP to one of my favorite singers.
Midlife crisis' happen when you see those you thought would be around forever suddenly die. I want to be in junior high again! Or maybe not. Praying for peace to his wife and kids. This song and video shows what an incredible voice he had! Missed already.
I had their albums and listened to these songs when I was 13-14.I love this performance better than the album.I am saddened by the passing of Cory Wells.RIP . I had a chance to see them in Pittsburgh a few years back and was not able to and I really wish that I had.
Hi Yota good evening I am Christina and I will say that this performance of 3 🐕 night song Never been 2 Spain is great Terrific live of course is very awesome this amazing live event ever and is very awesome
Another thing Freestyle band Ebony and Ivory song cover from Stevie Wonder & Paul McCartney because is pretty awesome song sounds mavelous definitely interesting
This is amazing song ❤️ is amazing never been to Spain because that performance from Tennessee is very awesome though especially when black and white include Other 3 dog night songs like that
The first rock n roll band I remember following as a youngster. Joy to the World was such a huge hit but there were so many more favorites from this group. Then I became a Jethro Tull fanatic. When I graduated to Steely Dan and Led Zeppelin the Old man knew he was in for trouble during my teenage years. ,
I’ve called them a “cover” band, but really they were great arrangers, and did definitive versions of obscure songs by great songwriters. A great band!
Holy crap.... these guys are STILL just awesome! ( yes, miss chuck with them...) but THIS IS REAL Talent. right here...... still singing and playing these great songs from all those years ago, and sounding so sweet. Cory, Danny, and ..."bass player', you are awesome
I have clearly underappreciated this band. I was just a kid in the 70's, listening to my mom's 8-tracks, including Three Dog Night. I dig them even more now, and I love their desire to expose unknown song writers.
I love all 3 voices from the original group, but there is really something special about Cory.Love these guys. GREAT songs is what they've got. Lots of them.
Man thses guys have it going on! I was afraid to check out these videos since I always loved their original versions, but Cory & Danny still have it and this band is COOKING!!
These boys are flat out fantastic, the band is tight and right. I miss this kind of song writing & soulful performance. THE REAL DEAL FOLKS, Peace Doc Willoughby
I never thought Three Dog Night got enough credit. One of my favorite bands of all time. Yes, I understand what the Beatles and the Stones did, but I always resented how the "experts" put down TDN because they chose not to write music, instead choosing to beautifully interpret what others wrote. I loved Chuck, but when Chuck got all the praise for "Joy to the World", "Easy to Be Hard" and other songs, that sowed the seeds for the demise of Three Dog Night. This song really shows how talented Corey was as well.
I saw these guys play at Auckland's Western Springs (NZ), back in about '72-'73. They were on the same bill as Joe Cocker (if my somewhat erratic memory serves correctly), who on that occasion was quite forgettable but TDN rocked - those voices and harmonies! Looking forward to seeing them again in Adelaide in November....rock the rafters, fellas :-)
OMG! Thank you so much for this! I honestly didn't think they would sound this good at the age! I am so amazed! And HAPPY! THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Ufortunately I happened across the Chuck Negron videos and he doesn't come close to sounding like these two!
Love this song!I think I heard it ages ago, but it was featured in a really good Steve Zahn/Jennifer Aniston movie called "Management" a few years ago.Superb movie, superb song.
Such an under rated Band! I ordered a Three Dog Night Album....yes Vynyl off of tv back in 1975. Might have been the first vynyl to be sold on TV....lol
"Three Dog Night" doing " Never Been To Spain.". A lot of people criticized them, because they didn't write their own songs and only did the vocals but they knew how to pick the songwriters: H. Nilsson, Hoyt Axton( "Spain", "Joy To World"), Randy Newman, Laura Nyro, Elton John, etc.
Poor Cory! He doesn't smile anymore! What happened? He always has such a beautiful smile and he always seemed so happy to be doing all this for a living. So in his element. What happened?? Still got the voice, though! Love the voice!
I think it's one of those deals like with Cummings, John Kay, Mark Farner, etc. I've seen them but they can't tour with the band name. Plus he has had his issues.
gotta say never been to Spain,or heaven, nor Oklahoma- but I kinda like the music. 70,s growing up, and it really did not matter who wrote or who stole. My teenage mind was- I liked it. It was not my duty to analyze the origin of everything. I listed and watched American Bandstand where the biggest critique was;" does it have a good rhythm, and can you dance to it?"
In the late 60's and early 70's Three Dog Night was the bomb. I still like to hear them occasionally. I have to wonder why a band as good as they were could not progress and continue to produce new material. It is as if they shot all of their fireworks at once. But you have to remember music is released in the same fashion as it was back in the day.
I think his voice got better with age. A great singer can sing just as beautifully soft as loud. He was the whole package. RIP to one of my favorite singers.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THREE DOG NIGHT!! Cory Wells, you are missed.

I’ve called them a “cover” band, but really they were great arrangers, and did definitive versions of obscure songs by great songwriters. A great band!

I have clearly underappreciated this band. I was just a kid in the 70's, listening to my mom's 8-tracks, including Three Dog Night. I dig them even more now, and I love their desire to expose unknown song writers.

Just saw then again tonight - still a fantastic show.
Joy to the World was written by Hoyt Axton.
Yeah but who gives a rat's crap about critics
Yeah, and there are so many 'stars' out there now that have to be auto-tuned IN ADDITION to not writing their own music!
I saw these guys play at Auckland's Western Springs (NZ), back in about '72-'73. They were on the same bill as Joe Cocker (if my somewhat erratic memory serves correctly), who on that occasion was quite forgettable but TDN rocked - those voices and harmonies! Yota Moe, Thank you for posting !!!
for that period of the early 70's, didn't they sell more records, or have more hits than any other band, including the beatles?
Love it!!!!!!!!!!

Who gave this 77 thumbs down, Chuck Negron? I thought it was great.
According to a recent interview, Chuck said he was on speaking terms with Corey but not so much with Danny
SMILE DUDE....YOUR FACE WON'T CRACK! YOU SMILED IN THE 60'S AND 70'S!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
For the love of God! Please have a reunion with Chuck Negron!
