Once went to a function in Blackpool. My wife and I were the only two people left in the room and having a dance. This guy came in, sat down and watched us for about 5 minutes...he shouted out that we danced like Frank and Peggy Spencer (think he meant Betty Spencer). It was Jeremy Beadle. God bless him.
I love reading the comments on all these old shows and things............We cant all be wrong and we all feel the same about years ago lol i wish we could all go back when it just felt like home.
There were plenty of talent shows around that time, starting back in the 1950's with opportunity knocks. It wasn't until 1993 that it got huge with Stars in their eyes though.

I like when watching these kind of nostalgia tv videos, the intro and ads get included. Feels more authentic for some reason. I literally just ate a twirl 😁
I got to meet Jeremy in this era as he frequented my local Chinese takeaway...a genuine and hard working entertainer who clearly loved what he did, and his part in the happy memories many have of the past is awesome
Do be careful - reminiscing in an unhealthy way can make you feel that, videos/photos of days gone by can produce a melancholic effect. The smiles of yesterday can brighten the smile of today and tomorrow. Im speaking from experience.

The bed shop prank was the very first episode of Beadle About I remember watching. I was only 4 years old in 1989 when it first aired, but I can remember it so well. Poor lad with the "Golightly Family" in that shop. Looked like they ate the whole menu of Greggs.
Me too, I enjoyed watching Beadle's About alot on a Weekend evening on ITV, on Anglia Television and especially on London Weekend Television (LWT for short) when I was a kid. Good times. It would be nice If ITV brought back this kind of Prime Time Entertainment instead of Big Brother, Strictly Come Dancing, Love Island, Britain's Got Talent, The X Factor UK and Dancing On Ice. Don't you agree?

I lived in Orpington for 30 years and remember the bed prank episode very well because I'm the guy with the bald patch walking away in the background @7:16. :>) Beadle spent his childhood nearby in St Paul's Cray.

This was a 1991 compilation special made. The pranks came from 1989, the main show hosted by Jeremy was from 1991.
