Hoffa was an informer for FBI. Reasoning is that they really wanted his killers and there ceasless efforts to get the murderers show this. If they were opposed to Hoffa the FBI wouldnt be so keen to prosecute for his murder unless of course all the answers fell into their laps. No he was one of theirs and they want people who hurt and kill there assets.

So I’m a little bit confused. The caption at the beginning indicated that he was shot and killed in 1979, you indicated in your voice over that he was actually killed in 1983, and then in the end of this video twice you referred to the fact that he was killed in 1978. So asking for a little bit of clarification on that please?

I really like how the Irishman took the piss out of the murder of Jimmy Hoffa, like with him just getting killed like a regular guy instead of building on to this mystical murder mystery on who done it and where was he put. I'm only 35 and all my life all I've heard was theories and of where they put Jimmy Hoffa.

Sheerans book claims he was seen leaving the FBI...
      But never told his superiors.
That alone is enough for the Italians.
Since the FBI knew all the names...
They knew there was a snitch...
It was just a matter of putting the pieces together.
Going into an FBI building and not telling anyone was the only piece needed.

The real Sally Bugs lived a nice home in the NJ suburb I grew up in. There's a story that one day the mailman did not wear his uniform, and when he walked up to Sally Bugs' door to drop off the mail, an agitated bodyguard came out brandishing a gun.

It’s beleived my grandfather knew Sheeran as My grandfather was President of The Building Trades(various labor unions represented) in Philly, we believe he was at Frank Sheeran Appreciation Night as John McCullough my grandfathers best friend put it on, and when my mom was 11 or 12 she said he came home from a banquet in Cherry Hill where the first and only time he met Hoffa in person. Eerily Frank Sheeran’s apartment described in the book is in the same complex as my dads apartment in Bensalem PA near the racetrack Frank talks about in the book the one Russell used to sleep at.

Everyone who knew who and why Hoffa was killed are long gone. I don't believe Sheeran killed him and he didn't kill Joey Gallo ,the Irishman was a let down after first hearing about it back in 2011 it just didn't live up to the hype. Pacino didn't make a good Hoffa compared to Jack Nicholson in the 1992 film "Hoffa" Nicholson looked and spoke like Hoffa he nailed the role and should have got an Oscar . I think Scorsese picked Al Pacino because it was his only chance of working with him.

    • @CaliforniaPickin
      @CaliforniaPickin 3 роки тому

I just said to a friend that they should have got Jack again. enough time has gone by and Jack cant be hurt by a re-doo. Al was total mis casting. He did a fine job, but didnt sound nor look like him. Hoffa had a high Mike Tyson sounding voice. I didn t buy it. Deniro, also not Irish looking. It was a good ganster perfornance non the less. and Obrien should of had black hair.

    • @davidrice3337
      @davidrice3337 3 роки тому +2

Why cast Al Pacino in the first place-i firmly believe they're people who are locals and accually speak the language and knows the lingo who could remember their lines-i don't buy in to the belief that these famous actors are the only people who are talented enough to act like someone else- show me a good lier and with a little practice and as long as they have good hair and a decent look then l show you a novice who is more than capable- actors who fake the accent just aren't believable-case in point: the new Kevin Costner, Diane Lane movie-l think Diane Lane is absolutely gorgeous and I loved her in lonesome Dove but she ain't from the south. Here is Newsflash: their is no such thing as a"greatest guitar player-" i know a guy who works at UPS who can play any guitar lick, any solo with ease- he ain't the only one- the same with actors- as long as they have the look and a little bit of intelligence......

He said he didn't know where he was buried but he's knows he's in a place that's wet.
He was probably killed, chopped up, and put into one of those large drums then taken out to sea. I'm gonna guess somewhere deep in Lake Michigan.
They had access to boats. Pop the lungs, put some cement in there, and let him sink somewhere way out there.

AMAZING video but I'd like to point out the common pronunciation error with his las name, in Italian, "a" g by itself sound like a "j", and gl makes a strange combination of both g and L, it's pronounced by making a L sound, but raising the back of your tongue. So sal briguglio is pronounced more like "Sal Brijulio"

But I just can't get over how every time, I play through it affects me so deeply, the stories have such weight to them, and may be it's just me but they resonate massively with today, or just me.
I think they'd make for GREAT movies, they wouldn't just be another western,

@@CineRanter wow, I am happy to see you take this on. I appreciate not many people see much in game stories,
But for me it's what I play the games for.
RDR1 broke my heart , but also gave that feeling like, no one can escape what's coming, especially in those days. John was real man in the end.
Rdr2, was very different feel to it but it was so well done I didn't want it to end,
They did it so well I understood Dutch and his decisions to a point until he lost it. But even then I felt hurt for him because by the end he knew what he did wrong and just walks away , I cried for Dutch too. And what was happening to his world.
I didn't realise how powerful the story was until a week after clearing the game i watched a fan made trailer for the game and got all choked up.
      I am a 32 yr old builder , had his heart broke by a f@$#ing game !
That, to me sows one of two things, the story resonated with my personal life and struggles with 6 brother and raised by our single parent dad, ( who ALWAYS had a plan), and the bond we shared, I felt like Arthur frustration with everything falling apart hit me deep.
Or , the story was just that good and could appeal to anyone anywhere.
I like to think both are true,
Anyone who didn't feel hurt inside after this story has no soul!.
The story was epic , but it was a different tone to rdr1, rdr1 had elements of Tarantino in it but was a classic good guy dies western.
Where the end shows a harsh reality rather than a sweet happy ending. And I love it .
Thank you for your great content.

Almost every aspect of the movie Irishman was not historically true. The characters are all real. But not one of the events they say happened went down how it did in the movie.

Because you were there, with all them...right?
      Shut the hell up.
That's why it says base don the book and not a "True Story", which gives license to embellish.
      But honestly, nothing?
The whole movie could be a historical piece, thats how much details it goes into replicating the time period, the clothing, etc...
All those events happend, with most of those people doing this said things....

Just like with JFK, At this point it purely entertainment. Whats it matter, There all dead now. Even the ones that had kids that where in the mob are either dead or aged out or flipped and are now doing podcasts to make ends meet. Sammy "The Bully" Gravona has probably the most accurate stories of how things went down and what happened to the men that where involved in his end of things. But in the end, they all flipped on each other. Even Sammy did, Yet says it was because John disrespected "Our Thing" so much and Sammy felt it was pay back since he couldn't be killed in prison as Sammy would have done if they where on the streets still.
