Austin TX, Summer 1982 ===================== The liquid summer was put into a bottle and corked. The bottle sat in the shade of the basement to age, and was forgotten. I saw Mary in a canoe on Town Lake, laughing among the splashing of the ducks who had swum over to see what we were doing The ferment of the age caused the cork to pop Which overflowed into my dream and woke me up. I poured the song into a cup, and the fizzing sound of Austin Summer 1982 sounded exactly like Amanda Ruth ~~~~~~and it still does
I love the Everlys, Sarge, but will have to disagree on this. Miss the Kinman brothers' original harmonies. And the lead guitarist here doesn't even play the song's recurring signature riff correctly.....it's not difficult.
Love this band!
A great band in its pomp! Love Rank and File and ‘Sundown’.
RIP Tony Kinman

One helluva band
WOW! Real musical instruments!
With real lip synching
@@slugdaluga So? Not their choice as usual for TV - Tony was a beautiful singer, player - saw him in The Dils in Frisco
Viva Alejandro!
what an amazing band.......this and The Dils.......
And Cowboy Nation.
glorious
Dynamite !
Still bothersome without SLIM and ALEJANDRO.
Angel Hutchence preach
SurfPunkPaniolo's!
without Zippy Pinhead!
Everly Brothers improved this song a lot.

Lip sync
Not their fault (lip sync). It was the early 80s. One of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. They didn’t need to lip sync.
