I was so happy when I first heard Dave Edmunds...glad the traditional rock and roll is alive... the rhythm was revolutionary when it hit the AM radios...people got concerned...it was a racial issue waiting to come to a boil.
Mickey Gee was probably the most underated guitarist of all time. He made the sound of Shakin Stevens, Dave Edmunds etc he was amazing. r i p MG. Mikey xx
I was lucky enough to see Dave a few times. He was opening for Bad Company in '77 or '78 to promote "Get It!" (saw the LA Forum show) and was kicked off the tour part way through because he was getting a better reception than Bad Co. It was all for the better for fans because Nick Lowe released his first solo and they toured clubs..the start of Rockpile. Dave is one my favorite guitarist/singers of all time. Get It is tied with CCR's Green River as best album of all time!!
Elvis didn't "steal" the song...he recorded it as rockabilly rather than the jump blues that was written and recorded by Roy Brown in 1947. It was Wynonie Harris who copied Brown with his version in 1948.
Blows me away every time, the great Dave Edmund’s with the amazing Micky Gee on lead - fantastic

Yeah, I read that in the description as well.......

Thought it might be Bob on bass alright, Billy.
Don't forget Micky Gee!
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nothing has given me more pleasure in my life than listening to Dave Edmunds.
❤️🎵🎙
Bob Cotton of The Jets on bass
Opened for the Stray Cats..$10...he tore it up...
Lead guitarist looks a bit like Billy Joel...
Rockabilly mullet.
Is that Micky Moody?
If you are talking about the other guitar player, that's Micky Gee
Brian Setzer and the Stay Cats ripped off the Dave Edmunds sound. Just sayin.
I disagree, totally different sounds IMO, but I believe Dave influenced them a lot.
This is so corny!! It's in the roots of rock, though.
Presley stoled it from WYNONIE HARRIS (1948)
Elvis didn't "steal" the song...he recorded it as rockabilly rather than the jump blues that was written and recorded by Roy Brown in 1947. It was Wynonie Harris who copied Brown with his version in 1948.
Really Dave...? A peavey amp ? ...ok. That head looks like a p. a. head...sounds decent . I guess you liked the reliability.
NOT EVEN 1/4 OF ELVIS
Whatever I just love dave❤❤
Don't think Edmunds ever tried to "be Elvis". He was more into Chuck Berry and stuff. 😃
