Love the behind the scenes! how you're thoughtfully explaining and organizing is giving me a ton of ideas to think about when I establish my new display space. Thank you for the peek behind the curtain!
Remarkable (pun? maybeee.. haha!) how you are consistently able to squeeze more & more square metres out of your existing Lego room. It's clear you put a lot of drafting & careful planning into each expansion, and I've no doubt this project will be yet another success for you! Keep us posted, Mark, and thanks for the update!
This is so huge! I'm so excited for this to continue!! 🤩 Y'know, here's one idea, but being so it's just a suggestion: we all know how Warner Bros made for specific LEGO Movies (which are all awesome), maybe along with the modulars and normal city stuff, you could have a section in the city for each LEGO movie! :D Ex: Bricksburg city for the first Lego movie, Superhero city for the Lego Batman movie, the Ninjago land you're planning for the Lego Ninjago movie, and maybe -- Syspocalypstar inspired city for the Lego movie 2! :D This would just be my idea, and again, it's just a suggestion, but it would be cool to see :]
That shelf space is awesome! As for ideas for the city…you likely won’t have the space, unfortunately I don’t either, but I’ve always thought it would be cool to have an “old” part of the city that is leaning toward steampunk style. Either way it’s gonna look great whatever you do!
this is a great journey to take us on, thanks for sharing all your hard work. I'm just packing up as I'm moving house shortly and packing everything lego is a daunting task to say the least! How about keeping a nice desk area by the window and fireplace, so you can chat and build and look down at the lego city???
My build table is near the fireplace. This redesign has increased the sitting area in front of the city so I can accommodate more visitors and hopefully do some different camera angles too.,
I can see having some train parking underneath the platforms (if they’re tall enough), maybe have a puddle or a pond around a corner of one of the platforms like making it look a bit more like a London were it’s causally wet
Have you considered a hybrid of two different versions of your old city from the previous room? At one end of the city you have Ninjago land at a lower level than the rest of the city. Previous to that that area was water with a train loop. Why not both together?
That’s a possibility. I’m planning to split up the modulars by theme/style more this time. Ninjago is probably going to end up in its own space off to the side.
This is coming along great. We’re pumped seeing the new shelving and the extra space you’re going to get from the change. Can’t wait. 🍻🐝🐝
Thanks so much!
How very exciting!!!!❤ thank u for sharing.
I’m glad you found it helpful.
From Rudy: Extra space suggestions… park and/or farmers market. Mountains down to the floor with waterfalls. Pond/lake on top.
Thank you, Rudy!

Thank you for the kind words.

Thank you, my friend!
This is super motivating! The shelves look good! I'm here for the journey.
Thank you, my friend.
Looks great mark, definitely love the new real estate and maybe add a few different building Mocs? A park or skate park out be cool.
A park is definitely in the works.
This is what I need. Actually, I just need my kids to grow up and move out so I can annex their rooms for my Lego addiction. I mean hobby.

That's a very creative idea!
Excellent video. The Lego room is looking great. Why don't you have a train runing through the mountain.
I’d love to do that but I coukx never figure out the spacing. Maybe with this new layout.
Amazing vid, maybe as you like trains you could put a tram in the roads so it is always on show?
That's something i would love to do!
This shelves are slick. Gonna look fantastic filled with Lego
Thank you! I’m excited to start displaying sets.

I’m actually thinking of splitting up the modulars into a “older” more village style and a grittier urban area.

that is cool
Thank you 😊
Looking great Mr B! Excited to see what's next!
Thank you! Building starts soon!
Those shelves look beautiful! 👍🏻
Thank you! I’m really happy with how they turned out.
Hopefully the right height for your backs sake. I’m going to eventually lift my setup because of that, haha.
The city has gotten higher over the years as I’ve gotten older 😂
looks already amazing... can't wait to see your next update. Will you add lightning underneth the shelves (e.g. LED stripes)?
Yes! I’ll be adding some light strips.
Those shelves are 🔥
Thanks! I'm happy with how they turned out.
Maybe that old Lego airport mono rail?
I wish! I’d love to have a monorail.

This is looking great so far! 😮
Thanks so much! Now to start building 😃
looks great what about a sea front village?
I’m thinking I need some water.
I have some instructions that fits with my Old fishing store.
The shelves look great but once you put your city back in how will you reach them for placing sets
I have a tall step ladder 😊
What and where did u get those shelf/table with black legs??
Everything is custom built. The small table tops are 3/4 wood and the black legs are adjustable furniture legs from Amazon.
Rudy is wondering - what is the width of the new white shelves?
