I appreciate the form of reviews, doing follow ups is important, especially for controllers
Thank you! We've got a full review in a couple days and then a comparison later in the week. Any issues in the future I'll do an update video too :)
I’ve had the larger version of the clear Binbok joycons for over a month now. I’ve had no issues with them. While I’ve never experienced joystick drift, I have seen comments from others that claim they were able to eliminate the drift by recalibrating the Binbok joycons, not through the Switch, but through the joycons themselves. I believe the instruction manual has directions on this process.
Glad to hear! Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've had no issues with mine so far but I do recall seeing something about resetting in the manual! There are also firmware updates from the website I've yet to look at too
in my opinion people who always experience joycon drift no matter what kinda joycon they play is because they play it aggresively or using analog too often. theres game like pokemon sword and maybe naruto or dragonball that require player to spin the analog as much / as fast as they could. while people who play animal crossings or games that doesnt require analog so much doing just fine
Yeah I do agree with you there since drift is usually caused by plastic dust/dirty getting into the stick and usually that's from people grinding down the joystick housing from being too rough with it
I’ve just ordered these for myself, the joycons are killing my hands whenever I want to use them table top mode, because I got large hands, I can’t wait to get rid of these hand cramping default joy cons, I got the AC edition switch so it will be nice to put them away while they have no drift, I use the pro controller most of the time but I travel quite often so it’s inconvenient for me to whip out a pro controller lol.
Yeah the Joy-Cons are so uncomfortable aren't they :( I really hope Nintendo release some handheld dedicated Joy-Cons some day
why are they look exactly the same with the iine Genius joycons???
Do you have any cases that work for this?
The man delivered on his promise thanks lol and great video I love the binbok you have I have the regular black ones but the small like you.
Haha I did indeed! We've got a full review coming in a couple days and then a comparison head to head video with the Hori Split Pad Pro at the end of the week too!
Ah you've got the BinBok slim ones too in black? Awesome! How do you like them?
@@128KB awesome looking forward to that review lol not much of a comparison to the split pad pro the hori one has so much it’s missing. I love mine especially when it’s dark and I see the lights and the screen looks amazing also the lights with the oled screen is just amazing and makes it’s pop more. It’s comfortable and the d pad took awhile to break in but once you break it in it’s fine.
@@graymatter9431 yeah I agree and I'm glad you're loving yours, I'm loving them so far! I hope the d-pad does break in, mines not the greatest but I can look past that at the minute.
@@128KB wish I could show you some of my switch collection and controllers/grips I have a lot of stuff I got through the years. Lol I could be in a video with you and review it but I don’t live in the UK but I also have the animal crossing binbok I just don’t use it as much but it’s also amazing.
@@graymatter9431 if you've got Twitter tag me in a post/photo of your collection :) @Andy128KB
Do you also have a review for the original Big Binbok controllers?
would be great to see you compare the two versions in a future video.
preferably the transparent editions because yes they do look the best,
thanx for the info
Currently we don't have a review of the big ones! It would be a good video to do though, we'll have to see if we can get a hold of some... :)
I was excited about these but they start to drift faster than joy-cons
Ah really! Do you have a pair? How long did they take to drift? I mention that being a concern in my review that will be up in a couple days but I've had no issues so far. If I get any problems I'll be sure to do an update video!
i was having the same issue, but if u turn the screen off and back on, the drift is gone.. so seems like a software issue as opposed to hardware issue
Please someone tell me I can turn off the rgb. It would be a dealbreaker if it cant be turned off for me...
very detailed video Tnx !!
would you suggest getting this pair of transparent joycons or getting the new Gripcase by skull&co ?
my hands are medium and i usually not separates the joycons, i do afraid a little bit from input lag from the transparent joycons.
can you help me decide ?
Looks gd quick question what’s the best glass screen protector for oled
Binbok don’t actually make them either they are just Chinese rebrands same as nyxi but that being said they are dope and the best I’ve yet to use
Yeah doesn't surprise me at all! I was aware of the BinBok before the NYXI, haven't seen any other brands use them though would be interested to see. Either way they are good and get whatevers cheapest 🤣
The only thing I can easily use with FPS and not have my hand fall asleep in portable mode. I’d recommend em to everyone. Nyxi makes white ones that would sweet with the new white dock and I don’t know how much i trust alibaba but they have Zelda type ones like the blue and purple Nintendo ones
Try mobapad m6
I have seen them but didn't know the name! Maybe someday we'll check them out :)
Is there any noticable deadzone issues? I've heard past versions had this issue and were noticable when playing games like Splatoon 2.
We've got some more JoyCon alternatives coming our way to test in the coming weeks. Once we've got all the samples together I'm going to do a deadzone video featuring all of them and showing what they're like. I think it comes down to quality control, I've got no issues on mine but other people have had issues with features not working etc. seems like the quality may not be consistent.
@@128KB thanks for the quick reply! I think that would be a great video to make since it's hard finding deadzone tests on all these different controllers. Cheers!
@@runninggargle it's something everyone's been asking for on these Joy-Cons and I forgot to include it, I've done deadzone tests in the review of the BinBok Pro controller though but though I'd just do a full on deadzone video with all the variations we get!
We are giving away a BinBok pro controller though here: ua-cam.com/video/yMSSDpCzuyU/v-deo.html
Can you get angled joy cons? I ask because when holding the switch by the attached joy cons, I find myself tilting the switch with the top away from myself because that's how I'd hold a controller. It would help if I could keep the screen facing me with the joy cons angled into a more natural controller position.
You can't get tilted ones where the switch is tilted towards you if that's what you mean but these are far more ergonomic and make for much more comfortable playing. Check out some of my filming to see it better in my review here: ua-cam.com/video/BiXY1qGmnUo/v-deo.html
@@128KB Thanks for the answer. It would make it easier for me to play the handheld as at the moment I'm only playing it through the TV.
@@tazzatamania I'm late but I've seen a 3d printed attachment that does exactly that
I got the whitr version of that binbok slim joycons. ZR trigger became so sensitive having uncontrollable inputs in the game making it unusable on major of my games. Checked the trigger on the board it got stuck down and cant be fixed
@@NoahPrim3 if it's only a month old contact BinBok and ask for a replacement. Annoying it's broke that soon though :(
Anybody know any good cases that fit Oled with the binbok Joycons attached?
Normal Joy-Cons or these BinBok ones? I think you can find some overly large cases on Amazon or eBay but not sure on brands/names sadly
Dunno if it helps but nyxi makes the same branded joycons and they sell a case on their site specifically for the fit with these
@@zachman893 oh thanks for letting us know! I wasn't aware NYXI made cases that fit them, that's great!
Terrible review the main thing we want to see is the movement of the joysticks you showed none of it they're notorious for having a sticking problem and not being very accurate
Check out our definitive review of these here: ua-cam.com/video/BiXY1qGmnUo/v-deo.html
Check out our BinBok Slim VS Hori Split Pad Pro comparison: ua-cam.com/video/n8WBghR6-6k/v-deo.html
I got the white binboks. Although not as accurate and precise as a pro co stroller it definitely feels better in hand than joycons. I cant for the lif eof me tell what vibration percentage it's on. Even while cycling through everything all the vibrations feel exactly the same. How do u cycle through the vibrations?? Press t let it go then press the sticks up or down??
@@WavyVaporizers Ahhh you have to hold down the T button and then move the joysticks up or down to increase it or decrease it
