    Maya Angelou once said “my faith is tested many times every day, and more times than I'd like to confess, I'm unable to keep the banner of faith aloft. If a promise is not kept, or if a secret is betrayed, or if I experience long-lasting pain, I begin to doubt God and God's love. I fall so miserably into the chasm of disbelief that I cry out in despair. Then the Spirit lifts me up again, and once more I am secured in faith.” When YT suggested this video, I couldn’t help but think of this piece. It’s my fav piece of writing. I woke up this morning certain that I suck at this life thing and this is it for me. I couldn’t see past my feelings of despair. Since I woke up super early, around 3am, I recognized that I couldn’t get myself out of that head space and decided to go back to bed. I told myself if I wake up still feeling that low then I’ll do “whatever” to end my misery. Instead I woke up feeling better so I started baking - it was 8am and that carried on for hrs. In the end I was too happy and too exhausted to entertain the bad feelings. Instead I took a shower, lo and behold I stumbled upon this video as soon as I sat down. Dare I say it’s changed my life in an instant. Thank you so much, you were God sent. I truly can say I’m secured in faith and feeling hopeful about my healing. P.S. I love to write but have never been good at it but now I know I don’t have to, all that’s required with journaling is documenting my feelings honestly.

      I'm glad to see that you were able to pull back from your dark thoughts. I sometimes have them too. Never give up. You are needed....

    Thanks for your advice! I journal every morning as well, with cups of tea and water. Like you said, a great way to start the day. By reflecting one can receive a clearer image of what Life is trying to give or teach you. This reflecting gives space. Take care

    I am going to try your journaling technique! Loved hearing how bachata and salsa opened up new doors for you. I entered that world a few years ago as well and it's wonderful. It just fills your heart with joy, doesn't it? It's been a few years since the last time I danced but I think about it almost every day so perhaps it's time to start again! 🥰 Also I just bought your journaling worksheets for beginners, excited to get started!

    Appreciate how you transformed over time. Been subscribed for quite a while. Good on you young soul. Love how you bring things down to a practical level and have actual tangible instructions that people can follow to reach that inner guidance compass, whereas too many are stuck at just philosophising and not knowing how to APPLY a concept. :-).
