This story, and the way it is told, is 'Fine Literature' with all the snobbery, elitism, bravado & sophistication of a 'Great Work' studied in English Lit. From the title to the way the story is divided & the 4 different directors bringing 4 distinct hues, it becomes intricate art. Nam Yoon-su was Go Young. I delved into the fine details behind this series. At 1st, and perhaps bc we are used to the superficial romance drama, I had a completely different impression of what this was going to be. Then I saw the cast promo video they did before it aired. I was so confused thinking, 'Why is there a stage full of men for this 1 show?' 😆 LOL I started reading about it & tried to consume every piece of info I could so that when I watched I had a wider span for interpretation. I've been waiting for the right moment, when I don't have pressing matters & stressors nagging at me, to be able to sit down and take in everything of Go Young's "Love In The Big City." I'm starting to rewatch it tonight.

Wow, this is pretty strong for something created in South Korea, and I'm so happy to see it. The genre is getting bolder. I see there is still a huge pushback culturally in that country towards the actors, but it's gaining some ground. I think international audiences are having a positive impact on allowing stories and artists who are more open to love that isn't just heterosexual. This is progress, in my eyes. I have this one on my list to watch. Great video - good editing. Thank you.
This is one of my fave songs of all time and suits Go Young's story so, so well (especially considering Kylie and all). It's been a week since watching and my heart still hurts so much thinking about this drama and how much I feel it's changed me. As someone that's full of doubts, I understood Go Young completely. When you're so filled to the brim with uncertainty, you're always living in the future of what ifs and it can be hard to live in the present of it all (even if you meet someone like Gyu Ho who can seemingly handle that about you). Couple that with the fact that he's a writer and the introspection and over analyzing that comes with a profession like that too. It might not have been meant to be, but the people we meet can change us forever. Incredible edit.

This series… it left me at a loss for words. It was so real and so raw. I’m a straight, white girl, but I felt every emotion as if I was going through this journey with Young. I had planned to watch it slowly over a week’s time, but I binged-watched the entire series in one night, because I literally couldn’t stop myself (I get up at 5 every single morning if that tells you anything). By the time the credits had finished rolling on the last episode, I sat and felt that I had somehow been inexplicably changed. I know this sounds Uber-dramatic, but I really don’t know how else to put it. It honestly feels that an intricate part of me has shifted in a very real way. As some others have stated, I have had a difficult time moving on from this one.

I really have a lump in my throat. an emotional rollercoaster caused by your vision. and what you wrote in the caption... you are 100% right. someone who is so indecisive and constantly searching will always have a hard time settling in love. The question will always arise, is there perhaps something better? This questioning always has an impact on you and your surroundings and if you constantly want to reach for the stars, you will eventually lose touch with reality and when it catches up with you, it is usually too late. What remains is regret.

For me this series is breathtaking. It’s a story of love, loss, sorrow, grief, secrets, etc. It is about family and family dynamics, society, and societal pressure. Every scene is beautifully crafted and all the actors are exceptional, but Nam Yoon Su shines. His performance as Yeong is memorable.

This bl was a bout real life cause the first bf brought him a problem of Kylie the second they were never meant to be together the third he just used him to satisfy himself and on top of that he hated the fact that he liked men the fourth one was the happiness of his life even though they always fought but they honestly and truly loved each other and he will always rent free in his heart cause he accepted him the way he was and loved him truly. Those who have ever been in relationships and met these kinds of people will understand.
I was so angry that his horrible mother sent him away for conversion. She didn’t deserve him at all. Her “religion” just proved her hypocrisy. (No spoiler intended).

Sometimes what seems complicated can actually be quite simple. Go Young found what he wanted in Young Soo but Young Soo was fatally conflicted as a lover, and Go Young found what he wanted in Gyu Ho but Go Young was distracted from loving Gyu Ho because he identified sex as love. Nice edit, btw.

He felt like Kylie would always cause issues in the future in general & doesn’t want hold back someone even though Gyuho would have stayed in a heartbeat if he knew the truth.
i just finished this series i have to say am blown away by the storyline and the characters. while it is a little taster of modern dating i also feel its karma for (young go) for treating the first guy really badly and the one he wanted doesn't want him and give hiv. this is to teach all of us not to play with people and always be honest. great song choice one of my favourite. beautiful edits well done. please do more.

won't say it's the best BL, but it's good. it's one of the TOP ones I've watched from korea. There's some things I found cringey though, the use of stereotypes, but nonetheless, it seem very realistic and heartwarming.

Sometimes what seems complicated can actually be quite simple. Go Young found what he wanted in Young Soo but Young Soo was fatally conflicted as a lover, and Go Young found what he wanted in Gyu Ho but Go Young was distracted from loving Gyu Ho because he identified sex as love. Nice edit, btw.

i just finished this series i have to say am blown away by the storyline and the characters. while it is a little taster of modern dating i also feel its karma for (young go) for treating the first guy really badly and the one he wanted doesn't want him and give hiv. this is to teach all of us not to play with people and always be honest. great song choice one of my favourite. beautiful edits well done. please do more.

Soy chica tengo 14 años , vi esta BL en sus primeros estrenos y me gusto mucho pero una parte de mi esta trite porque esta historia acabo , el amor es amor el que lo ama no lo ama , el no quiere salir del closet y afortar a las persona es por eso que el lastimo demasiado al chico , esta historia se sintio tan real , prácticamente senti todas las emosiones esto no solo es un BL es un arte una obra maestra es una historia que nos muestra la realidad , en esta historia ubo momentos felices y dolorosos a la vez , yo no suelo ser tan sentimental pero esta historia me hiso llorar y también dudar es como si esta historia cambio una parte de mi , me surgieron dudas como : ¿ Hay algo mejor ? ¿ Porque lo lastimo tanto ? ¿ Proque no afrorto la realidad ? Sin inprtar los comentarios de la gente , hay personas que dijeron que este BL era muy aburrido proque en su lugar no vieron videos infantiles , su cabezas entenderian mejor algo infantil y no una historia madura como esta
