It's impossible to check large amount of fruits with a single device. I think they should build a conveyor belt machine integrated with this technology which can scan large amount of fruits and automatically segregate the fruits according to their quality.

Bharat pe qr helps you to pay with any app weather its phone pe or paytm doesn't matter , the same qr when installed in a shop helps to pay through any app and it is more of a banking and credit based business than just qr.

What disappointed me with this segment is none of the sharks pointed out the glaring problem with sorting the fruit at scale. U can't sit and hold each fruit and decide quality when ur dealing with tonnes of fruit. It's too time & labour intensive.

Evaluation is on current basis but valuation should also take into account the future , that what a good investor is else for number crunching you can get a CA

Firstly, a buyer like a fruit vendor won't buy a not so pocket-friendly product. Secondly, no one will sit and keep checking all 20 pieces of apples one by one. Thirdly, no one buys fruits for sweetness, except the fruits like oranges. Fourth, a normal Indian family will never through away an apple just because it is 10% rotten, and the same applies to farmers or vendors. The list of flaws just goes on....overall a USELESS product!

A few things that I would like to point out:
1. It's not practically possible for the traders to use this device and check the quality of each and every fruit. There are tons of fruits and vegetables present.
2. A vegetable vendor hardly earns enough to meet his requirements and they expect him to buy a device worth 50k?
3. This product won't be scalable as common man is never gonna buy a device worth 50k that tells whether fruit/vegetable is good to consume or not.
4. I know they have put a lot of time and hardwork, but for sales worth mere 15 lakhs, you valuate your company at a massive 400cr? I may agree they are for promotion, but when present such an inflated and fake valuation, you are making a mockery of yourself and your company.
5. At last, there was no need to play the victim card of pregnancy.

Few points:
1. They have the technology for a large warehouse or cold storage, that means one doesn't have to check each n every fruit individually with the hand held device.
2. This is useless for the vendors and end users, vendors obviously know from where they source the fruits and what is their shelf life. Few of them would go bad but for that they cannot invest on a 50k device and waste the entire day scanning for bad ones. They do it by looking at the fruits and that has an accuracy of maybe around 90%.
3. This is being manufactured costly, 15k is too much for a product that's in manufacturing stage, 15-20k for the prototype sounds reasonable. For instance, the oled display used is a 200 buck i2c oled display used with arduinos.
4. 400 crores valuation was absolutely shocking and they came down to 200 crores in the next 15 mins, sure they learnt it from Palika Bazaar.
5. Playing victim card would never impress entrepreneurs, they aren't here for the nautanki.

Inventory keeping in warehouse especially for vegetables is the next big thing because India has a strong agriculture sector. And such technology will be used. Reliance building those huge warehouses can definitely use it.

Consider a profit margin of 30 percent, that is 15000 per unit sold. If the investor owns 0.25% he/she gets 37.5 rs per unit sold. Guess how many lakhs units they've to sell to just recoup their investment. They should have consulted with someone serious before coming up with that crazy valuation.
Investing doesn't work like this. Profit sharing/dividend is not the primary reason why investors invest and will never be the primary source of revenue. Let's consider the way you said it. Even if they invest in it at a valuation of 400 cr for 0.25 percent. Even if the company grows 10 times to valuation of 4000crores which is an astronomically difficult task, their share in the company would be worth 10cr. For a person worth a 1000cr for example, such a small piece of the company is just not worth it.

Shark tank is probably the only show today that doesn’t care about whether you a man/woman/transgender/gay/lesbian/bisexual/beautiful/handsome/ugly/Upper caste/lower caste/minority etc. This is the only show that values the merit in a person’s business ideas.
My request to the pitchers and to the channel running this show - Please don’t encourage emotional appeals like - “She came in to the show even when she was pregnant”, “women entrepreneurs”, “women in science and technology”, “Dalits/Minorities in business” etc. If your ideas and sales are good enough, you don’t have to make such emotional appeals. The sharks will fight among themselves to have a deal with you (we have seen that happen). I don’t mean disrespect to anyone…but please spare this show of emotional melodrama.

Its quite costly . Making price of product is 15K and selling price is 45K . They must bring down cost of making under 10K and reduce SP to upto 30 K -25K . Also , Valuation was unrealistic . If they would have asked 1Cr for 5% Shark might have shown interest to their product.
